    3DHS 60" Yak-55

Just a few pages behind. I was responding to Gyro's post #50 and I did not see the next two pages.

    3DHS 60" Yak-55

It believe it is a 425kv wind on the 4325. I know the 4330-400 is a monster on 30cc stuff. SteveT. runs a A60-5XS I believe in his if you want a hacker equivalent. https://www.aero-model.com/8_72_1186/Brushless-Motors_Hacker-Brushless-Motors-A60-Series/A60-5XS-V2.html

    Joe Smith quits 3DHS!

Get a group order together and do the freight shipping. Probably be around $150-$170 for a shipment and you can have a number of planes. When I got my 104 and 110 I also got the 60 edge that became the 15cc project and shipping was around $130 for all three. Since then we have done this trick...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

If noise is a issue, then the added nose weight makes the CG that much harder to achieve and also increases an already high wing loading. To get the ES pipe you are now into the 60cc territory in cost. Dealing with noise constraints like we do up here in the NE makes some of these setups not...

    Joe Smith quits 3DHS!

Only the 35cc planes are out of line with other vendors. 50cc shipping is typically $100 or more with other vendors and it is $125 for me to get anything from them via freight. 3DHS is flat rate $150 to a commercial address last time I checked. I won't delve in a public forum too much on my...

    Sugesstions for a 60" EF 3D plane

I have one on the way, but it won't be flown till next month as it is going to spend the winter in Tucson with my family so I can go visit it during the snow months. From what the team pilots say it's strong point is what Ryan says with rolling maneuvers. My 110 yak was also great at low and...

    Joe Smith quits 3DHS!

Not to get too far off topic, but that airplane seems pretty heavy for a 60" plane. Granted it has a lot of wing area.

    Extreme Flight 74" Laser

After my latest experience with greyhound I will never use them again. They completely lost a box and didn't even ever pay the claim. At some point I just say arguing with them is not worth my time as I have long since moved on. I shipped the box to myself. Just imagine the pain of a company...

    Tulsa Oklahoma 3D Bash

I brought both my Panasonic and my Nikon to the Austin Bash and yes I felt torn between doing one or the other and in the end I got wrapped up in my plane building drama. For this bash I just brought my Nikon and only took it out once. I was very busy flying, ducking away from the rain, and...

    Extreme Flight 74" Laser

3DHS has a big trailer and they bring big stuff. Pilot-RC is well stocked by chief. Not sure if PAU brought much stock. Limitless Aero brought some bigger planes as well. I was expecting to have to resist a 91 Extra or Yak. I am lucky to be part of a EF obsessed crew up here so usually I...

    Extreme Flight 74" Laser

EF did not bring anything "big" to Joe Nall except stuff they pre sold. Just 60" and 48" planes and 1 2M Vanquish were for sale and I was there the first day they opened the tent. I think the other events they brought more product like Knoxville.

    Extreme Flight 74" Laser

Chris mentioned that he wanted to get a west coast warehouse, but they are not yet big enough to justify the expense. Look into freight shipping as that has been cheaper for me and you can combine orders with other locals and the shipping expense will be close to the same. The airplanes have...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

Is that the huge one? I have tried the DA one, the EF one (which are basically the same), the secraft magnetic one (epic fail) and most recently the miracle square and triangle magnetic ones (also not great as the magenets don't hold). They all have issues. I will try out a JEM on the 74...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

3DHS steps up their game on 60cc and especially 120cc planes. Their 30cc stuff is all M2 like AJ is which is not ideal as you have to replace hardware to use metal arms. Pilot-RC uses a standard system of horns and hardware so their 100cc stuff is the same as their 30cc.

I ordered one over the weekend. Anyone else getting one? DA-35 on a ES pipe. Savox 2270s all around.

I know I got a lot of flying in and got to meet some great people. I have a few photos, but I was pretty busy flying and charging. I am halfway home with a layover in Chicago. I hope everyone has a safe trip.

Wet day. Got some decent flights in, especially mid day as the wind was way down. Tomorrow is looking cool, but dry.

Hangar 9 is in a league of their own IF you buy their stuff. Quickest build giant scale plane I have ever done is their 35% extra. Everything has it's place with cut outs for the power safe RX and perfectly setup for a DA-120.

4-40 work with M3 ball links. Since you have to self tap them it does not matter. Whatever works for you. I am interested to see if there is a improvement in the new 74" laser. I too was a little disappointed in the hardware on this kit. If you ever get a Pilot-RC kit you will be impressed...
