    Scale 50% Dalotel 165

It seems the trainee pilots are getting farther and fewer between. I think a lot of it is due to the fact of the department stores selling "get in the air quick" models. It is sad to think that not many guys will get to remember a very pride filled day when they first flew. I truly can not...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Awesome info. My son and I were talking the other day and he was referring to your painting technics. Said he's been following your posts really closely. Now if I had only taken the time to do just that as well before I painted the 330. I probably wouldn't have had so many questions huh? LOL...

Oh good plan. I CA'd them to the inside of the cowl. (The wooden backer blocks) But you are so right. I best be for mixing up a good strong batch of epoxy. Thanks Doug for reminding me.:way_to_go:

First gas turbine powered RC Harrier AV-8B VTOL jet (Skymaster Jets)

I couldn't agree more. I have always loved jets. But nothing I loved so much I wanted to build one of those complicated beasts. But I always said... "If someone were to make a Harrier, I would definitely lay down my aerobatic planes for a hold on to your butts Harrier". Bad Ass? Yeah...

Ok friends, family and all that have so faithfully followed along with this thread. Interjecting suggestions, ideas, appreciation for what I was doing, and most of all for the constant and never faltering encouragement... Were it not for each and every one of you I have no doubt I would not have...

I just had to have myself a nice little Saturday afternoon nap after flying this morning. But I didn't sleep long. A certain red head was calling my name. Oh fiddle de dee... it took me the better part of two hours to put the backer blocks and blind nuts in the lower cowl. I insisted on doing...

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

A beautiful sunny and calm day here in Idaho. Perfect temps and great air laid the ground work for some early Saturday flying. The Behemoth Yak and my sons 100cc Pilot 330sc were on tap for great fun. We had an awesome time. That is until my sons 330 lost a main gear wheel. Ah but he crabbed it...

Okie dokey. That's a wrap for me tonight. With the cockpit floor glue cured, I could now put the instrument panel decal on the inside. And reinstall Mr. Green. He looks pretty good all sitting there ready for blast off! Going to call it a night. But tomorrow we finish this beast.

As for the canopy/hatch... personally I find it one of the easiest parts of a plane to cover. Especially if you kept your old covering as a pattern. Once it is cut out, lay it down and get to ironing. Be careful around the canopy front lip. The right temperature and just the right amount of...

Lol... right? Thank you Doug. That means a lot. Can't wait to get some photos of it all assembled. Soooo.... Kelly has an Alien on his plane. Maybe I should have ole Kermie printed up for the 330? Lmao.

Yup, the cockpit is on the agenda for tonight. I just had to put him in for a minute to see what he'd look like. Weather should not be a problem. But knowing my luck, we will probably get hit with a tornado. Lmao.

At long last, I am closing in on the home stretch. Now that the painting and clear coating is done, I can now finish the cockpit and install my Green Dude! No Kelly, he is not an alien. Moreover a "G Force" pilot bust that seems as though he'd been looking for this ride for a long time. It's...
