    Plane Restraint

    I built one of these. Works great for starting, although I don't do run-ups against it. For that I stand in front of the stabs. This thing has served me well for a few years now. the center leg goes toward the front of the plane. Big-assed pin driven through the hole in the middle.

    Yeah, thanks Terry....I was really looking forward to actually meeting you and many other GSN friends. Timing of our move just sucks for this year though. Moving sucks...period! This is our LAST time....until my kids move my ashes :congrats:

    Yep, for crow you need flaps to offset the ailerons. Really, just practice flying slow patterns down the runway. I mean not harrier slow, but slow flight (on the wing). Set it up on a downwind leg then turn base to final. DON'T land, just bring it down the runway about head height but in...

    I guess the term "expensive" is pretty relative depending upon ones desires, skill sets and budget restrictions. We're retired, so there is some required fiscal management (well i guess that applies to those working as well). In my view even a Top Notch Custom Built 40% is relatively cheap...

    OK, cool....when Terry mentioned having it on a switch so one could quickly deactivate it, it made me think about a friend who didn't have any mix in his setup. When he inadvertently hit the switch during a low pass, you can guess what happened next! :(
