    I am really enjoying this thread but as I see that wing build up I am now thinking if it was me I would have done a kit plane and get in to fly.  That wing looks huge.  Nice touch with the wine to make the build go by pleasurable.

    Or linear driven actuator like this    from here If you have a bell crank on the hinge pin that is connected to the canopy the 100mm travel unit should give you 90º of travel

    Nothing wrong with that approach to flying but do you check if the left and right ailerons and elevator halves are even matching?
