That is really cool Kelly. Kind of catchy! I am curious however, do you have special little hidden passages and doors or access panels marked ketchup, mustard, pickles?

Pilot 40% 330 Recover and Build

Not a problem. I can give you an approximate as not all 40 centers are the same. The 40% 260 is a much smaller airframe, (Not much bigger than a 35% 330) than the 40% 330. The 40% 330 is larger than the 40 center Sukhoi. (Depending on manufacturer). The 40% Sbach is pretty close in size to the...

Not able to get anything done on the 330 tonight. Came home from work feeling pretty beat. That danged broken foot from nearly five years ago is aching something fierce and I think someone is trying to pass their rheumatism off on me. Ah the joys of getting old. Yuk. Will try to get more...

Thank you for bringing this up. I can't say for sure what brand the dot is. I had thought Tom, (my buddy here) got it from them (3w or Aircraft International) years ago. It is just like any other fuel dot. Aluminum housing with the aluminum plug with barbs for the fill line, it slides into the...

Oh, without a doubt! You really have no relative concept of the size other than overall appearance. That is until you start installing certain items. The fuel tank being one of them. There is gobs of room in these big fuselages. That's why I like them big. LOL Tanner, the little story behind...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

That was my biggest nay on a bipe. But truthfully after building the Pitts I've rethought my position. It's actually not bad. Pretty easy and actually quite quick for field assembly .

Not much accomplished tonight. I did however manage to get my 50 ounce Taildragger RC fuel tank re-plumbed and strapped down. New 1/8" Tygon fuel tubing inside and out. Also re-routed the gas pedal servo lead on the left of the fuse, and the pin flag switch and ignition power lead on the right...

Really sorry to hear that. I've heard the horror story of that dreadful condition. I can only imagine how miserable it must be. Wishing you the best and a very speedy recovery.

A little bit more progress before I call it a night. Feel like I've been working on the Big 330 all day. Ah but it gotz to git done right? Smart Fly Pin Flag switch in. Also have the fuel dot housing installed. I've also been playing around with my carbon fiber vinyl. Not as nice as the...

Thanks David. I just gotta hurry up and get it done. I wanna fly...fly...fly away. Lol. You just need to give life the finger sometimes and do what "YOU" want. I've finally figured that out after 58 years.

Wow! That's all I can say. I'd truly forgotten how time consuming and how frustrating it is to get something just right. Measure the depth of the green from this end, then that end, then the length, then the width again. Adjust it this way, then that way. No...nope, too much...wait, not enough...
