Scale 112” - Taylorcraft by HeyLuc & Snoopy.

Kevlar should be better in compression loads than carbon fiber but that's quite the layup! Should be super duper strong!

    110" TIMBER Assembly Thread

Thanks Guys, It'll fly again! Stripping off the covering was just for looks. Ali sandblasted the protoype and I liked the look so I rolled with the idea. A lot of stol cubdrivers are doing it as well.

    110" TIMBER Assembly Thread

Well sometimes depth perception gets the best of us and ya know… it was my turn. I was decending from the white clouds “inside” the tree line and for one second I thought “I’m kinda close to those….SMACK” about 100ft up and hanging from a branch wedged in the elevator counterbalance gap was my...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Finally bit the bullet and treated myself to an electric fuel pump after years of hand cranking with an MPI. Even though I bought a Grayson PQ12 pump to build something myself I never got around to doing it… I was getting some 20ga servo wire from Booma RC when I saw this Brico setup. Had to...

Discussion The I’m Going/Went Flying Thread

Which power setup are you running? I'm running the old stock setup. make sure your ESC doesn't have a soft brake and is free wheeling. There's not a lot of mass to keep the prop spinning on these little guys so keeping the prop spinning is just part of the mental game.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

With no provision. All of us suffered when congress pushed the FAA here to provide a solution quickly. That’s no easy feat for the government. The FAA here is essentially being pushed. AMA is the same, what’s different is the FAA worked with AMA to create nomenclature for a CBO (Community Based...

Mini crack yak right? That’s the one I have. You really gotta play with the cg and rates to get comfortable with it. Some times the prop can make all the difference. It’s been a while since I flew mine.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

No problem. The angel wing design planes are fun builds. My Pugv2 was a very fun build and flies pretty darn good for a baby dlg I doubt it’s come down to this permanently. I think a lot of this has come down to integrating the airspace quickly for commercial UAV’s and the recreational fliers...
