    Scale 35% Krill Extra 330SC....CUSTOM-ARF!!!

    Got a couple of minutes between packing boxes to lay out the new canopy floor. 3/4" holes drilled at all corners for nice radii at the cutouts. Looks weird now, but most of the ply will be removed when I get the scroll saw out. Gonna be a couple of days though :(.

    We're having a new home built very near Lumberville, PA....just up the Delaware river from New Hope. Bought 26 acres a couple of years ago....should have enough room to fly in the back yard. Won't be able to do IMAC rollers, but lots of other stuff :banana-dance:.

    The motorbox on the Beast is very short....maybe about 3" sticking out from the first former on the fuse. Way shorter than the Extra, which was what you typically see on aerobatic planes. maybe the longer one absorbed more energy before transferring it to the rest of the fuse structure???

    Make sure the back-hand is done with appropriate firmness :msn_slap:. By the rules, the judging of each figure ends when the plane reaches level flight. I'd love to see the wing-rock as a rule....3 times to begin and 3 to end!!!

    You're Welcome! BTW - keep an eye on the two parallel "spreader" bars at the bottom of the stand. Mine got a bit loose over time so I ran a sheet metal screw thru them at each end. Plane's looking great!

    Correct on the hammer, or stall turn....NOT a legal turn-around maneuver. I didn't get through the whole video, but there is NO requirement to call "out of the box" or "end of sequence", etc...ONLY at the beginning. It IS a good idea though and a courtesy to the judges. Also, THANK the judges...

    Really couldn't say. It was definitely shorter than the Extra, and longer aluminum gear vs CF. Motor mounts were basically the same, ply box and short (about 1/2") standoffs. Same canisters. Who knows....don't have either ship now. Crashed the Extra and sold the Beast.
