    Scale 50% Dalotel 165

I presume you mean a full size, and I agree, but the cost for a full size would be about $50k, I'll stick to models LOLOL Yes I was referring to full size.  I am instrument rated and always wanted to build a plane.  I helped a friend with a Bede 5 back in the day and another with a Skybolt...

Well as I am plugging away at the big dalotel, I have received the drawings for a standoff scale dalotel, which is 80 inch wingspan, I am going to have enlarge them to 100 inch wingspan, which will make it 31 % , Now this is just a straight forward model built airplane and only standoff scale...

I have just spoken to Tony of OmG  in China and he tells me, the coreless has less speed and less torque then a brushless.

    Scale 50% Dalotel 165

I recently had a conversation with a Hitec regarding the difference in torque values on their brushless verses the coreless sevo's. I've been using the 7954's, 5665's and now the upgraded 7950's on my Sukhoi. I was informed that torque on a brushless is much more accurate than the specified...

started assembling the ribs on the second wing half, its a long process, lots of measurement, plus the fact there is a 2 degree washout and this has to be the same on both wing panels, lots of coffee at this stage LOL

The laser, first I had converted it to electric , and I loved it , better then when it had a turbo prop engine in it.  On the last flight of the season, it lost power, no problem take it back to the runway, but with the wind that day it lost forward airspeed at about 3 feet up, , so the damage...

a build thread, hmmm not sure , I suppose if there is enough interest , since  it will be a fairly straight forward, non scale airplane.  The only thing I want to do on this one is what I have done the last two laser's I have done, which is a jig built wing with foam ribs, , makes for a very...

    Scale 50% Dalotel 165

My 5 year Laser 200, highly modified has had its last flight , too delicate to continue with it , so I decided to build another Dalotel in parallel  with the big Dalotel, this one will only have 100" wing span so I can use all the electronics including the electric motor  of the Laser This...
