the ailerons are coming together, hope the video is OK, I'm not very good at videos Forgot to mention, the servo in the video is not the one I will be using, I'm waiting for the OmG  Brushless, high voltage,  450 oz servo    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHK0mylJkQw

Just received the servo system I will be using for the retracts which has 3400 oz of torque (212 lbs)

Hey Roger this one is comming along nicely. I am courious as to how you are going to mount the servo body to keep it in place?  By this piture I would be a little concerned about it ripping out by the torque forces of the control surface.  Matthew Good point Matthew,  I will be showing...

Yes I know what you mean about the multiplier but I figure I will be getting a lot of torque from the boost tabs, And yes I know about the flaq, but its only from people who have no idea what they are, , and these people are not important LOL

The aileron torque dowel connector to the servo,  The servo in the picture is not the one I will use but it is the same dimensions and same spline so I can keep working

This is how I plan to install the aileron servo in a direct drive ,  knowing that the original Dalotel has trim tabs in both ailerons, and these are also used as boost tabs which helps tremendously the servos, I beleive the servos will be plenty powerful,

I might add although I showed a drawing with the control wheel at the end of the shaft, I have decided to install the servo directly to the torque tube , Made the servo adapter today now waiting for the servos

still working on the ailerons, but going well, waiting for the bearings and two OmG 450 oz brushless high voltage servos

by looking at this drawing, the lite green disc is the control horn, which is 7/8" in dia. to keep it inside the wing at the aileron level, the servo would be inside the wing with a smaller control horn to take advantage of the  multiplier torque, and of course the reason for all this is the...

tentatively this is how I plan to mount the ailerons , on the picture, the center rod is the aileron spar, with 3 bearings on it and the red part is what will bolt on to the main wing rear spar,

Don't worry, your not messing anything As for the glue, if you are building a regular kit out of balsa ,  you can use CA on everything, just be sure all parts have good fit. Lately I  being using thick CA from Gorila glue, , not the poly urathane but CA.  it is extremely good and strong...
