So this is what I have settled on for carbon on the rudder. Going to use 0.007" carbon laminate along the TE, top, and a 45 piece at the top of the hinge line where it meets the counter balance. The 45 piece is mitigation for any potential stress risers where the hinge line meets the counter...

Agreed. Probably not necessary (adding carbon), but will probably do it as I don't see any drawbacks. Also, if I do decide I want to add some lightening holes (I'll make sure I don't put the carbon in the relief holes) it will add some stiffness that could be lost during the lightening. Probably...

Matt Chapman Cap 232 Yellow or Cub Yellow?

I vote bright yellow. The cub yellow has too much orange. The photo you provided doesn't appear to have any orange in the color, IMHO.

that little electric stingray is a fun little plane. Uber fast snaps and r0ll rate. Handles the wind really well also. Flown it in 15-20 mph - Crazy, but fun! Really fast too. Have it on a park 480 motor.

Working on two Landing gear formers. Prepping them for glue. Want to do a batch to limit wasting hysol. Adding some carbon fiber strips in the center to handle the bending moment and reduce the stress riser where the 1/4" longeron will be installed. Also looking to add a 1/4" sq balsa piece for...

Got some more work done over the weekend and a bit tonight. The fuse floor is installed and began work on the hatch. Got the hatch mounts and spacers glued together (they come as a 1/4" and 1/8" ply to make up the correct thickness). The spacers are also glued to the fuse wall. The hatch mounts...
