    Rant......Pre assembled fuel tanks.

Wow! That brings back memories of my family's livestock transportation business. Glider kits, yes. Early kenworth chassis were assembled in our shop with old Cummins 200's. Then transitioned to freightliners with Detriot 318's. Then to 8v92's then to Cat 10L and 12L. Quite a transition from 1940...

    **sticky** Understanding Lithium Polymer Batteries

Terry and Ortho: I usually swap out my LiPo (2S) RX packs when they get to 7.6-7.8 volts (3.8-3.9v / cell). Ortho, no foul on going that low. With my elecric powered planes I routinely pull the batts down to the nominal cell voltage (3.7v) then recharge at 2C. My Glacier LiPo's are good for a...

German DA Dealer and DA MODIFIER?!?! 6 Cylinder?!?! 4 Cylinder DA-140?!?!

very interesting how they indexed each set of siamese cylinders. Hard to tell in the photo but it looks like the middle set is about 90 deg ahead (or 270 behind) of the front set, and the rear set looks to split the difference between the two. Must have had some crank failures that they figured...

Reza has been here for a week and he's already giving stuff away! RED LINE OIL!

Being a die hard alky guy, I was also a die hard castor oil user. That is until I tried Red line oil. No looking back. Red line has great film strength and protects those critical components from uneccessary wear. It also has an unprecedented tolerance to heat. Now, if they could just get it to...

    VVRC 40cc Twin

Sweet. Love mine on my EF78 Extra! Have it on the 2into 1 header and can. More power and quieter. Just a little heavier, but for IMAC, no problem.

    IMAC Extreme Flight 78" Extra

When I did mine I dry fitted then marked them with a sharpy where they line up against the outside of the rudder. That way when you install you just make sure the lines are shown evenly on each side. Then I double checked fore and aft by making sure the center of the holes were at the leading...

I believe Valley View RC has the 21x8 xoar. I don't recall if they are beech or laminated. You may have to call and ask for it, as the last time I spoke with Tim he said he had a bunch ordered in but they were not on the web site.

    IMAC JTEC 2.7m Extra 300CS

Talking with Al Young this week, they are working on a new prototype scale airframe. It is the Ashcraft DR-109 (radial version) with the round fuse. Pretty flipping cool! Should add some great variety to available kits to build for somethig different! Here is a link to the ashcraft page and some...

    IMAC JTEC 2.7m Extra 300CS

Catching up on some progress. Got a wing sheeted last week. Adding carbon (using the .007" laminate from ACP) and glued down with weldbond adds an incredible amount of rigidity. Only a 1.375 oz penalty per wing. Pretty awesome. I vacuum bagged the wing and it came out great. I will add caution...
