I left a wing tube at home once. Never did it again.

Yeah. "Should" represent the same load. I'd expect a little less pitch speed with the 11 vs the 12, tho. :)

    3W Ignition timing manual

I've been mounting my IIS ignitions upside down. I try not to use a wide strip of velcro to retain the ignition to whatever it is that I'm mounting it to. I've been using 2 3/4" wide straps, with a small piece of velcro on the label side to keep it from moving around. Man I need to fly! All...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Try that 3W 3D prop on your 157, you may find the sweetness you are looking for there. That is alot of rip on that 176 with pipes. It is definitely cranking the R's. If you do decide to try the 3D prop on your 157, don't sweat the bolt hole sizes. The 6 bolts just retain the prop to the...

    Iron-on coverings? Opinions?

Yup. Which is the only reason why I buy the 25' rolls. Don't want to get in my groove, and have to stop and go to the store.

    This is soooo not good!

Only engines I've seen with knurling on the drive hub have been of a single bolt style. I know the old Zenoah engines used 2 pins to help align the prop to the drive hub. And yes, most all manufactured aluminum backplates have a type of knurling in them. The ones that TailDragger RC are...

    This is soooo not good!

I think that it is stellar that you are digging into this with both feet. :) But...................... There has been much discussion when it pertains to the 150cc and up engines pertaining to heat, CF backplates and CF props. Unfortunately, that type of discussion could blow up at a...

    3W Ignition timing manual

Cool. I typically just run a little score line next to the pick up, if it were to ever go bad. That way, it gets put back in the same place. :) But it is nice to know the actual degree's. :)

    Iron-on coverings? Opinions?

Agreed there. :) Rip that crap off and start again! It's all gravey, man! Just remember....... Don't sweat petty things, and don't pet sweaty things. :spongebob:

    This is soooo not good!

Here ya go, bro man. http://www.taildraggerrc.com/carbon-fiber-spinner-w-alloy-back-plate-introductory-price/ Slots are cut for the prop, and I even think the 6 spinner retaining bolts are drilled thru the cone. Only drilling then required are the 6 bolts for the prop bolts.

    This is soooo not good!

Get a 6 bolt spinner from TailDragger RC in 5". Aluminum backplate, carbon cone. All you have to do is drill the backplate for the prop indexing.

    Iron-on coverings? Opinions?

MonoKote for me. The colors and the shine. Off the charts. It is a little harder to work with, but if you are experienced and do proper prep work, it is easy to go down. I generally use around 300F, and hide the heat gun for solid surfaces. I let the iron do all the work, and I do not...

    3W 220 CS

John Drake, owner of OMP has the 220 in his EG Raven. To say it is a beast, is an understatement. It is ridicules on power! Especially is you are going with tuned pipes like the KS 1090's. :) Loves a 34x12 2 blade. Another good friend of mine, Garrett Morrison in Cali has the 220 CS in his...

The Krill, you can get the shorter firewall option. I believe the Comp ARF 3.1M SC, you can get a short firewall option as well. A guy in AZ has the SC with a DA200 in it.
