Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

Help! The difference between a DA85 and a DA100L.
Run it "inverted" with just headers sticking out the top of the cowl :attaboy:. Sure to please the occupants of the surrounding area :big-grin:. I could see this engine doing quite well in Reno :first_place:.- 49dimes

Help! The difference between a DA85 and a DA100L.
Saw this rendering......125cc.......Old School Piston port induction o_O (no reeds)...... Compact heads/angled plugs to fit smaller cowls......Fairly light weight :happy:...... Slightly more powerful than a speeding mini bike:on_the_go:......Says it will 3D a 35 center :cautious: but better...- 49dimes

Yes it does look good! Me thinks you got a whole lot of fun right there. Slabs are a blast! If the 26cc Edge gets dirt napped hard I know a certain slab on someone's garage shelf getting stolen :sneaky:.- 49dimes

Had to spruce up me pump with some scrap light ply and covering. The label off the oil bottle did not want to cooperate and covering it with packing tape made things worse. Going to find a better sticker and paint the plastic case. Only then can I fly with confidence :lol2:- 49dimes

Was going to fly it this afternoon but waited to late and afternoon showers / wind put a halt to that :(. Did get outside and checked the engine tune and performance with the Falcon 18x9 prop. The RCGF26 started flawlessly by hand at first. When the first owner went to using a starter it raised my eyebrow. I am a firm believer now of having 3 fuel line tanks for gas .- 49dimes

The elevator halves were poorly hinged and did not line up with each other laterally causing left side to travel down further and right side up further. Since I like a bunch of down elevator for 3D / tumbles I removed the right elevator and re hinged it to match the left. Both halves travel...- 49dimes

Speaking of Edge's. I ended up after all getting this sweet little plane :rolleyes:. The few flights that were put on it were rough on the airframe and some fuel system problems developed (air leak at the T fitting and fuel dot cap). I'm getting all the little issues solved...:black-eye...- 49dimes

Had the same problem with an RCGF26 in a friends Edge in which I am the owner now (Trade for building his PAU Edge). I took the high road and put an RcExel ignition on it . Problems solved.- 49dimes
