    Aint nothing wrong with flying GS on 72 MHz. We did it for years. And now all of a sudden, if some flys on 72 MHz, its a crime?? I personally wouldn't fly GS on an FM system. PCM is best, that way, fail safes can be set. I have thought about going old school on an existing airframe. 72...

    ARF shelf life?

    Take it easy the first couple of flights. Shake the rust off your fingers first with something that really doesn't matter. Just give things a good pull, and just generally check for cracking wood when you twist on things, on the ground of course. :)

    Once I get it dialed in, it'll be as strong as a 170. I may have to get a 31x11 and try it. I have a feeling that the 30x13 may be a little fast for me.

    Test stands... what do you use?

    Take a look at what Trevor Brum uses up in Canada. I've got a slab of 4" 1/4" angle iron with bolt holes in it for thru bolts. Uses a servo for throttle. Just screws down to a picnic table.

    That is very true, Terry. But a good all around prop is the 32x10. We ran 32x10's on 140's back in the late 90's. Want more punch, drop to a 30x10, and let'er eat! :) We definitely have more options to choose from today than what we 15 years ago. And options are good! :) I bet the 31x11...

    Ahhh, the ole Falcon prop chart. I tried the 31x10W on my 3W 164 in my Dalton. It acted like it was stuck in 1st gear. I threw a 30x13 on it, and it took off like a banshee! :) For that airplane, I like the 13 pitch moreso than the 10. I always ran 12 pitch on that airplane. I tried 10...

    DA-70 Exhaust

    I dont think that the 70 with stock muffler is much louder than one with one with canisters. I seen where DA come out with a 2 into 1 header for the 70.
