Got the throttle servo installed and centered. Got the plug cap reliefs done. :oops: Was a wee bit off on the right side but close enough. Muffler cut outs and cooling cut outs next in line. Will do some simple cooling ducts with the foam stuff. Ordered some more 1/8" and 1/4" u-trim and some...- 49dimes

Got the engine mounted this evening. Looks like I will have to relieve both sides of the cowl for plug caps. No problem. U-trim makes any "cowl hole" look good. I will be using 1 and 1/8th inch stand offs which will give a nice 1/16th inch clearance on the spinner back plate. Since the...- 49dimes

I had forgotten you got to do a wee bit more on the assembly of a PAU but the construction seems very solid on this 30% Edge 540T. Plane is hinged and I got the undercarriage made up and installed. Went over the DLE 60 and found the cylinder bolts loose on both cylinders. Cleaned it up a bit...- 49dimes

You nailed it. Fit issue. The RCGF plug caps are a few hundredths larger inside diameter at the insulator than the RcExel /DLE plug caps. Or at least the two examples I have on hand. Here is what I measured...... RCGF- .64" RcExel- .57"- 49dimes

Right wing tip strike wile plane was slightly rolling to the left and inverted. I believe mine was due to a very hard right snap to KE and weight distribution. Common factor IMO is the bottom and side stringers on both planes do not extend far enough forward and can easily shear when large...- 49dimes
