The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

At this point I'd say yes I would buy one, but I'll know more after I fly it tomorrow since I got conned into doing the maiden. That reminds me that I haven't flown off our Geotex runway in years. I hope I remember how to steer.:lol2:

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I wish I could say that about mine.:( I keep my airplanes in the family room of my walkout basement. I went to move one of my heli bags Thursday night and it was wet on the bottom. Just enough water came in in just the wrong place to get two helicopter bags and one wing bag water stained. They...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

The main thing that gets in the way of that is a nasty four letter word...... WORK! I got talked into helping my brother hand letter some new signs for our business. Yes I know why would you hand letter in this day and age, but I was out voted. I'd rather take a sharp stick to the eye.:msn_slap:

They sound pretty good too. With the 12 blade fan they don't make that screaming whine, just a nice "Whoosh" sound. There are a lot of EDF's at our field. Some barely fly and some fly great. The Stinger 90 is nice because it flies good on the stock out of the box setup with no upgrades.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Tonight's project was assembling a Freewing Stinger 90 for my flying buddy Tony. He wants to fly it Sunday, but is working late every night this week. So, I volunteered to put it together and set it up. These are awesome flying foamie jets! Tomorrow night I'll tidy up the wiring and setup the...

I knew I couldn't trust you guys with my performance secrets!:LOL_gif: The good news is it's an easy fix like Snoopy said, the better news is I can put it in my Pilot Edge ASAP. The bad news is the firewall will need a massive hole for the carb since it's setup for a DA50 and now it's too far...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Tonight I started cannibalizing parts from my Carf Extra to use on my scratch build project and for some upgrades for my Pilot Edge. I'm planning to move the GP61 from the Carf to the Edge to replace the well used DA50. That will be a MAJOR power upgrade! The last time I flew the Carf it died...

    Cool The Crack Pitts

Watching that makes me want to get mine out again. I keep meaning to order some 3s batteries for it and never remember when I'm buying other things. I've only flown it a dozen or so times in the several years I've owned it and that was on 2s which I didn't care for. I happened to have it in the...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

It was an absolute Chamber of Commerce day today. Sunny, mid 70's with light winds and my truck is out of commission.:( But all was not lost, my buddy Tony came by and got me and we spent the day at the field flying his airplane!:fist_pump:

Scale 25% Krier Kraft build, a tribute to grampa.

The only sucky thing about the Mercury bottle is the end is too big to get in pin point places. It has awesome shelf life though. I like Zap for it's wide range of products, but my all time favorite CA was Satellite City Hot Stuff. Yes I'm old. It's been gone for years, but my flying buddy and...

    Rebuilding the Yak...again.

As a guy that used to work with me in my dad's bodyshop years ago would say, "The black on that cowl is slicker than snot on a glass door knob"!
