    Been there, done that. The last time I ever flew a gasser without a kill switch. The worst part was I had just taken off and was just above a fast idle when the Hitec servo quit. 24 ounces a fuel and a DA50, do you know how long that would have run? Well after about 10 minutes it started...

    I wasn't able to start masking for more colors until after 2 today, but I worked till 7:30 tonight and made a lot of progress. I still need to paint the wings, and landing gear legs, but it's getting there.

    Before I went home tonight I put down the white basecoat on the fuselage, wheel pants and tail surfaces. First up tomorrow is masking off the white stripe and painting the red.

    I was surprised to see Bob Violett Models uses Deans on their high wattage EDF's, or EVF'S as they call them. Lot of people say they won't handle that kind of load, but I guess they must.
