Scattered T-storms through the weekend. I will be busy getting my "purple" looking and running like new instead of flying. Extra is ready to go. May sneak out if a window of opportunity arises. Looking forward for Pilot's release of the V3 Edge with a 92" span. I see another DA70 coming!

I have heard that 10 psi to "pop" the seat and 4 or 5 psi when it "re-seats" works well for our applications. I have never heard or seen what walbro or tollitson actually sets as a "factory" setting.

Finally got the baffles done. Took a whole 20 minutes to do. This foam board works extremely well and only thick and thin CA was used. The ability to easily contour it to fit any cowl openings is a great time saver.

Hey David....All 4 LG bolts are inserted through the bottom of the LG so you can't see them in that picture. What you do see is......Two black hex cap 4mm bolts that hold the muffler straps in place, 1/4-20 lock nut that holds a small axle shaft for the remote choke lever and a small 3x2x3/4"...

The 330SC now sports some cool inlet foam and some purpose oriented (CG) dead weight. Plane weighs 18.5 pounds at take off now. Not bad for as big as this plane is. DA 70 won't even notice it. Got all five H50B servos dialed in and the R6014HS receiver set on 7ms High Speed! You can actually see...

Hey Rob. Temps in the middle 90's here too! Glad I got the new heat pump last year. Man cave stays a comfy 70 degrees:). I may slip out late in the afternoon for a flight or two every once in a while. But the mercury is going to be staying close to 100 in a few weeks :(. BTW....I did not know...

    Basic engine tuning.

I'm guilty for telling you.... But hey! Your 60 now runs great;). The only engine I had that needed attention in regards to pop off pressure was a used 3W 75 side carb. Would drool fuel when shut down. When I checked the fulcrum for proper alignment to the carb body it was ok so I stretched...

    Curious. Ethanol or not

Good answer :way_to_go:. And that is why I do not use tygon because I CHEAP! The China tubing stands up to ethanol fuel really well. I like it.

:I_agree:. I don't think I have thanked them enough for helping me solve a muffler issue on my last build. So........THANK YOU! Kevin and Al........It performs beyond expectation..... Club meeting tomorrow so I think flying is going to second to burger flipping for the bunch!

    Graupner Radios

I'm still waiting for the HORACE to be released. HK has it listed as "coming soon" for the past year. I truly believe HK thinks our life expectancy is around a 100 years......... But in the mean time.....The TGY-i10 turned out to be a really nice radio for the money. I have flown electric and...

    Exhaust Gas Temp

Typical (generally speaking) EGT for our model engines....... 2 stroke- 600-800 4 stroke- 800-1000 Under conditions "normally" associated with RC flying with typical fuel/energy source (nitro/gasoline). The "variables" are how hard you can work an engine. Had an ex wife that could work a car...

    Curious. Ethanol or not

.......Cheap pump gas......Cheap China tubing......Cheap China motors and some not so cheap China motors. The not so cheap China motors do great along with the Cheap China motors with 87octane and 10% or less ethanol. 32:1 red line keeps me happy with my Cheap stuff and not so cheap stuff. The...
