Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

That is due to the torque of the red-headed 4-cylinder Beast. Lol. Actually you will find that exists with a lot of planes in a hover. Hence it is much easier to torque roll to the left than it is the right.

Kind of a cool video of the Yak. Still one out there and I'll try to get it posted soon. Hopefully this will suffice until then.

I should add this note. Fromeco mentioned it is not wise to allow usage below 80 percent of total capacity. That would be 8320 mah. That still provides a safe margin.

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

Probably true. But just to clarify, I have two 7990's for the rudder, six 79544's feeding the ailerons, and four 7954's taking care of the business on the elevators. Plus one 7954 on the throttle. All said and done, 5 to 6-10 to 12 minute flights brings me to a recharge of about 2200 to 2400...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

I do wonder how many flights he gets before a swap out or recharge. If I can go to a smaller battery and still insure the safety of my planes and bystanders, I would be so in!

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

All very good information. But a couple of things here. First, I highly doubt anyone is going to risk hammering 75-150 amps through a Futaba/JR connector. Not to mention the servo leads from the servos. They just can not take it. The quandary was, Are the Fromeco LiIons powerful enough to drive...

I was never so lucky. No matter what I did, the springs took a flyin' leap and 86'd themselves. I gave up. Lol

Scale 25% Krier Kraft build, a tribute to grampa.

Simply speechless. You make my builds look like a bunch of twigs held together with string. Very nicely done! I can't wait to hear how it flies. Video...PLEASE???!!!

I'll try to get more done soon guys. Just too pooped right now. I will however try to get the fuse completed tomorrow. Other than the 212 that is. Before I mount it, I am planning a little revision for mounting. Stay tuned and I will explain when I get to that point.

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

I arrived home from work today to discover a friend came home from vacation a day early. Opening the box was almost as enjoyable as my wedding night. Ok, "ALMOST". I am so excited my came back home to me. Sorry Kelly....:spongebob: As I was "lovingly" caressing my beautiful baby with...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

Lets see, I also added a few more graphics decals. I also got started on the cockpit. Just started..but burned out before I finished. I also took the time to get the "piano" hinge wire for the rudder hinges installed. I didn't use the tail gear supplied with the plane so I set it up the...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

I didn't get much accomplished last night. And tonight looks to be of the same efficiency rating. Zip, Zero, Zilch. Nada, nothing, not an ounce. I am not sure what it is. I know I am exceedingly more tired lately than I used to be. Just have not been feeling the greatest. Maybe I just need to...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

I don't mind. This discussion is about the setup on the big Yak, so I am good with it here. I do feel that the LiIons give more than ample power for the current output on HV that my setups require. Rarely, (if ever) will we see a power requirement larger than what the circuitry can handle. And...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

That is so awesome! I had one of those a few years ago. I put a Saito 125 on mine. It flew really really well. But if I were to do it again, I would put a dle 20 on it. I just can't do the glow thing any longer. LOL

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I couldn't agree more. I use what I like. I use what works best for me. I have seen some dang fine running DA's. I have seen a ton of planes lost to Spektrum. But just because I use what I use, does not in anyway shape or form mean it is the absolute best. For me, it all comes down to "knowing"...

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

That is so awesome. Looks nice in the sun! Really pleased to hear she flew good. I was wondering "ALL" day long how it was going. OF COURSE, I have been down working on the big Yak all day so I am just now getting a chance to get caught up on everything. Sure glad all your hard work paid off for...

That looks like the setup that I have on my gas can. I have been wanting to find another. Now I know. Thank you Kelly for posting that.

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

You shouldn't have any trouble. Just make sure you have a castor wheel on the nose and you should be able to maneuver it quite easily.
