The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Thanks guys. Equally it is a real nice flying plane as well. But I guess I am 3w spoiled. The V3 111 runs fantastic just as my previous did. But I really want my red headed 3w cs on it. In addition to that, the Edge is my only plane not sporting a "dub". Cant be having that and she feels a...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Hmmm, clear blue cloudless windless skies, 52 degrees with a forecast of 87 for the high.... I have not been flying in two whole days, what ever will I do today? Oh hey wait. Hold the phone... I think I'll take Miss Olympiad out for a little huckin' and a few shenanigans.

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

Just do it.... it's time to see that masterpiece in the air. Oh I am just like a teen age boy looking forward to his first real date with the captain of the cheer leading squad. Except I get to eat the cheeseburger and fries with no interruptions. Simply amazing.

Scale 25% Krier Kraft build, a tribute to grampa.

When I was in my teens, fast cars took my breath away. Later on it was.... well, you know. Them damned red heads, blondes and brunettes. Now it's the impeccable craftsmanship of fellas like you that really shine when it comes to building a bad ass ride. Well done....very well done. I just can't...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Thanks guys. I have to say, with the Pilot Edge maiden a few weeks ago and between the Pitts flying as good as it did and the big Yak turning out so great I am even more hooked than before. It is going to be an awesome flying season. Baby just might get a little jealous. Lol

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Completely perfect weather... completely perfect flying. Completely perfect day. This is exactly what the big Yak needed. This plane seriously woke up! I even got a couple of light love taps from the drag strip. A few of my friends took some pretty good videos. I will try to get them...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

The weather here has been pretty good lately. A couple of days in the high 80's. Tomorrow is looking really nice also. After all these 12-14 hour per day, 60-70 hours per week at work I am ready for a little flying. No...take that back. Scratch that.... "A LOT" of flying. The 212 (4) cylinder...

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

Just offering a suggestion from my experience. I ran one 7954 on each elevator of my SD 260. Not quite 500 oz. But still plenty strong. I did get blow back so I opted to go with one 7950 on each elevator. Two 7950's on each aileron. They are 486 oz. No more blow back. I can't say with certainty...

Sport JTEC RADIOWAVE 26% Pitts Model 12

Pictures? Lmao. Pictures he says. Boy he has no idea of the can of worms he is opening. I have more completed, pre maiden and post maiden photos of the Pitts than any other plane I have. Giggling....you got it. I'll send you some. Thank you both again for everything. It was quite the ride. But...

That being said, Horizon has always been extremely fair and incredibly top shelf to any concerns I have previously had...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Initially, I see two problem areas. Block off the back of the motor. Also the front of the engine. Air as you know, is like water. It will always follow the path of least resistance. The air has to be forced down through all four cylinders. To do this, you need to block off any where the air can...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I did it. Pulled an all day'er and got 'er done. All that is left is to bolt on the prop, charge the batts and blast this beast off. I'm pretty happy this done now. Really have missed flying this bird. Next up: rebalance the Pitts and get her back out to really wring her out.
