How about if I get you some photos of his baffle set up?

Engine cooling box is now complete. I'll add deflector baffles to the front of the big Yak cowl to get the air over the top of the engine. The beasty 212 should be nice and cool chill-ax-in inside.

Such a shame to have to hide so much beauty. Almost like putting on pants that hide your White Rose. Why would anyone want to cover these gorgeous jugs? Cooling box almost done. Still have to get the alignment set inside the cowl of the Behemoth Yak. Getting there... @Snoopy1 I am using...

Another 60 hour work week. Lots to do today. But I have managed to make progress on the 212 install and baffling project. Won't be long now.

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

It's kind of interesting how round cowl planes perform as opposed to non roundies. My Extra's, Edge's and my Mustang's...heck all of them except my Sukhoi, Yak and the Pitts just seem really "slippery". I noticed though upon the maiden of my Sukhoi 2 years ago, (Which by the way is pretty close...

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

Agreed. I have a 35% Velox I will be doing for a friend in a few months. In the meantime, I hope to have the baffling on the 212 Yak finished up soon so I can do a remaiden on her next week. Wouldn't it be so sweet if we all lived close enough that we could take all three fresh builds out for a...

Sport Idiot Boy Builds an Old School World Engines Robin Hood 99 Kit

It sure is. I've been looking at my lil 70" gas converted trainer a lot lately. Still like brand new condition, but have been thinking a huge plane like yours, Mike would be a lot easier for the grandsons to see. Plus it would be big enough you could stuff in the rotting corpse of the last...

Nothing elaborate and just tossed together at the last minute before family fun day. But it served it's purpose very well for a number of years.

Not much done on the 212 baffling. Just a bit of a start is all. This is going to be a long tedious task.

If it will help, I can get you a photo or two of my candy drop box I built a few years back. I strapped it under my trainer to drop candy to the kiddies. I used (2) Hitec HS 58 servos for the two doors.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Well, not entirely true. I'm always catching fall out from one of them. Example: Catherine (my Sukhoi) complains when I take Jennifer/Baby (my 260) out. "Are you taking her out again? When is it my turn?" Or Madeline (the Behemoth Yak) "Sheesh, are you ever going to get me out again?" Course we...

Umm, lemme think about that for a second. Uh...ok. But, ya gotta take all the bills she ran up too. Heck I don't need no wife or girl friend. These big girls here are emptying my wallet as fast as any woman I've known. Lol

It's good to hear you are still alive and kicking. But what about that big plane? How's the progress? Would really love to learn more about your radio.

Yahoo...all servos in and programmed. All that is left now is to baffle the engine and toss the cowl on. It just seems like a crying shame to have to cover that gorgeous 212. Personally, I could kick back and look at it all night long. Engine baffle tomorrow.

Been working on the Behemoth "dub" 212 4 cylinder Yak the last couple of nights. Since I jacked 7 servos from it while making a decision on the engine. (They went in the Pitts) I bought all new servos and have been installing them and getting them tuned in. Good Lord, I need a bigger house. Or...
