OS. 155FS-a Alpha Series Pumped 4-Stroke Glow Single

This particular engine has a pump integrated into it, so it's probably a pressure - on-demand pump like the gas engines have. So it will not siphon fuel out the carb when the carb is below the center line. The rocker box may gum up with oil inverted but that's just a guess. Guessing it would be...

Got that right! I'm waiting for some 2" elevator arms for the 1.75" slot, 2 Pulse 2250 Rx batteries, Finish programing, and fire the DLE55RA up, tune, double check the CG and get ready for a flight. Oh boy!!

Here are some photos of the engine before I put the cowl on it. Note the Allen screws with the large metal and rubber washer included! Pretty nice. Little dab of blue locktite, and tightened them up. I did notice a bow in the cowl that was fairly significant, might end up shimming up the...

Man, you guys are out doing me! Love the pavilion @Jetpainter and that airplane shop @Snoopy1 !!! I need to build a shed to store all my other stuff that shouldn't be in the house! Maybe this winter I'll sketch up some designs for this summer/spring. You guys are an inspiration!

Played with my PR bush tires as promised. Painted the wheel hubs Krylon fusion flat black. Can’t say it looks that much better, but has a nice personal touch to it that resembles Alaskan Bushwheels.

Honestly I'm scared to even bolt up the wing struts and find out. I have not fitted them yet! There is a squared hole above the wing strut attach point, and you'll have to removed the covering to get to it.

Burned through some batteries at the lake last night! Stuck a GoPro to the left wing and crossed my finger it wouldn’t fly off. Here’s a couple screen shots. Man it turned out not too bad!!!! There was quite a bit of drag, maybe six clicks of right aileron. Slowing down for a landing it...

Got my wings all set up. Some fine tuning but tricky to have flaps, crow, full span ailerons, and dual rates setup on my Futaba. Conditions are annoying to me and try to avoid them. Been working on the interior the last couple days. Relocated my booms pin flag switch for easier wire routing...

    What beer ya drinking tonight?

Local brew. Devils club signature ipa. Some guys’d grew up with started this up a couple years ago. No bottles yet, and only kegs in the winter avail. They did a good job. It’s on tap locally and my first choice if it’s on tap. Canning is becoming very popular, and easy.

I'm not sure what you mean by a beep above half. Maybe you just don't need to choke it... Sounds like once it's primed its essentially siphoning fuel or leaking fuel out of the diaphragm needle/float. You may have a little somtin somtin under that needle.

So once it's primed does it just drip fuel out the carb? Like something stuck under the float or a floating check valve in the carb? What is your starting sequence?

Sure feels good getting an update every now and then! Heck Analog to digital alone!!! ha ha!! I remember making the switch from 72mHz to 2.4gHz still, I was flying a Pheonix Strega with a 46AX in it all evening - fast plane... Got my new radio in, and made the switch that night, went flying the...

What a beautiful design! I wish all mfgrs had integrated cowling louvers, especially on the top as well!! Split scimitar winglets! Inboard Aileron extensions! Thought of it all!!

Did some much needed servo setup. Got everything done, except the elevator servos. Then I’ll be into programming. I’ve said this before, the promodeler double servo arm looks cool, but that’s it. The Allen screws stripped with two fingers on the wrench. So I drilled them oversize to a 4-40. Not...

A little choppy on the lake this evening. Had to time my landing with and between the waves. This photo is a little dramatic, but you get the idea. Burned through a few LiPos before it was getting too dark.

The NEW King of Standard Size Servos - HSR-M9382TH

John can definitely be long winded lol. If I remember correctly people HAD issues with specifically the 9380s with powersafe receivers as well. All of this has been corrected and is a non issue for PM, Hitec, and Powersafe Rxs. There was a bumpy road for sure. Being a 95% futaba user, I haven’t...

I’ve been adding tristock as well. Also more CA and epoxy! Tri-stock just forward of the wing bolt. My finger is pointing to a defect. Added tri-stock behind it. Just another fuse shot of my progress. You can see how I laid the receiver tray in the back. Put it at an angle, I liked how it...

Aluminum isn’t the best glue adhesion. So the glue bond will fail before the component, which makes it a poor choice when glued to wood in my opinion. If we were installing them, we’d rough up the surface, make it jagged, and course to give something for the glue to bond to... judging how sloppy...
