Sport JTEC RADIOWAVE 26% Pitts Model 12

Ya'll ever notice that when you really enjoy what you're doing, it's so difficult to walk away from it. Such is the case for me. I don't know what it is about this Pitts, but I just have a hard time leaving it alone. After doing some cleaning and organizing this morning, I made a "HUGE"...

Yup, love the Yak 3. I want one in a 100cc size. Or at least a 60cc minimum.

Ah! Thank you...Thank you very much. Both of ya's. Actually, I couldn't leave the Pitts hanging in mid step. (Last wing to frame) Soooo....yup. Got it finished to the level of the others. Now my Pitts really is "nuthin' but bones"! LOL. I'll get back to the build in a short time. Thanks again gents.

    Aerobeez 45% Extra 300 assembly

Tanner, So I talked with Randy today. He confirmed the Ultimates are 46.5 pounds. Also, his big 40% Yak, (just like mine) is also in that same weight range. Shedding the 210 will save me 13.5 pounds. Add back 8.5 pounds for the 180. Thus...the big yak will hit the scales at 44 pounds and roughly...

Scale 25% Krier Kraft build, a tribute to grampa.

This reminds me of my Bob Dively 1/3 scale Super Stearman I did not finish "umpteen" years ago. Man I could just kick myself. Love what you are doing with this.

Sorry everyone, I sort of run out of steam today. Must be the nasty cold I have been fighting for the last four days. I did however get the left upper wing completely framed except for the control arm block, sheeting and cap strips. I actually did consider the torque rod from the upper aileron...

Not to worry Dave. You didn't drag the build off topic. In my opinion, anything that has to do with the building such as suggestions or options is also part of the topic, right? Thank you. But I think I remember from a few years back where some guys were running more than one rx. in their planes...

Oh you know, 'bout the only one I have to worry about saying anything is my four legged co-pilot. He don't say much. Except when he's hungry. Lol. I plan to start covering as soon as the building is done. From table to field in two months? Lol....don't think the weather will cooperate.

You guys are just alright. Thank you for the compliments. Definitely moving along with it. David, awesome idea and yes it would be totally worth the effort. Not that much effort really. I remember a few years back, my son and I were flying "Fun 51's". Some of you may remember them. Tower...

I figured that sheeting the center section of the top wing before I was supposed to would really create a problem. Na...!! I needed to make a couple of cutouts in the sheeting to allow the center section to rest on the cabane struts anyway, So cutting a little out for this next step was purely...

    Aerobeez 45% Extra 300 assembly

That's pretty awesome. I wish someone would slap one on a plane at 46'ish pounds. I'd really like to see the punch out at that weight!!

Sport JTEC RADIOWAVE 26% Pitts Model 12

Holy chit man...that is one awesome 35 center. I think I am in love. I see what you mean about the wingtips. But I really do like the half rounds. I really hope this little guy looks as sweet and "crisp" as your larger one. Thank you for the vote of confidence and for your comment. I do...

Dang, that just sucks. And "BLOWS"! At least you got to fly. Cold, rainy and gloomy here. Looks like I won't get no flights in for awhile.

Uh oh...!! What happened? Definitely an odd scenerio! My big Yak never changed one ounce from before the accident to the time I rebuilt it. "Without" all that heavy wood and paint. Frustrating huh??!!
