I like it! But, our friends up north might be insulted calling it a T-6 and not a Harvard since it's in a Canuk scheme and all. ;)

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

The guy in question is way to young to be retired and doesn't work, but still somehow has plenty of toys.

I worked on my Goblin 570 after going flying yesterday. One step forward two steps back. I went to test fit the battery on the slide in tray so I could see how much room there was behind it for a receiver battery and much to my surprise the 6S 5300's I was planning on running won't fit. They are...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I've been going flying with the same guy since I started back in the mid 80's. So I always have somebody to BS with. And there's another guy that I think sleeps at the field because he's always there.;)

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I got out this morning and flew a couple of times. Between heat, humidity and a sore back that's all I had in me.;) 110 members and the field was like a ghost town.

Impressive! Flutter destroys thing about as fast as a shed prop blade. My flying partner in crime Tony flys a Pilot 100cc Extra 330SC with one 8711 per wing. It doesn't flutter, but the faster you go, the slower it rolls.

    Too old to "HUCK"?

There was a little good natured joking about old guys trying to fly 3D and helicopters behind me while I was flying today.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Today I received the male to male leads I've been waiting for to get the receiver in my Goblin 570. One of them I had to split the three wires into separate plugs for a signal wire. I wrapped them all with snake skin and routed them the best I could. They have a spot to mount a receiver on the...

Stupidest thing you have ever done RC related.

As Lou Brock, a St Louis Cardinal's player used to say about stealing bases, "If you don't get pick off once in awhile your not getting a big enough lead".;)

They're just discriminating against those of us in Illinois. Bend us over for tax, and ship by mule train.;) I do order from Omni Models, that Horizon's ebay site, and I get that stuff really fast! I think Tower just doesn't like me, that's understandable. :lol2:

I live about 2.5 hours south of Tower. One time it took a package a full week to get here AFTER they shipped it. It went by UPS to the post office in Kansas City, which is over 5 hours west of here, then by USPS to me back here in Illinois. If they would have used USPS straight from Tower to...

I have a DA50 with a can in mine and it's okay, but I'd really love to try it with my GP61. That thing makes great power!

    Too old to "HUCK"?

One of the guys at the field asked me once why I never use the Geotex runway when I fly. I told him because it's always littered with crashed electrics.;)

I did what I could to tidy up the servo wiring in my Goblin. I'm about as far as I can go until I get some male to male leads to hook my receiver to the Microbeast FBL controller.
