    Yippee! What the postman brought

Sarcasm never comes out the way I want it to in words, sorry about that. I was joking about my servos as I'm sure you are. I very much appreciate your input and thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Don't get me wrong buddy, but I believe the actual facts have a lot of variables that may not be included in your initial observations. Such as set up, geometry, resolution, voltage, load, ect. Brand wars are not fun to follow, and most reports of failures seem to be missing crucial info...

Scale RCM 1/3 Scale Champ Build

It's fun doing all that research! From the looks of it, I think the 3200 is a locking tail wheel of sorts. The Previous versions just swiveled. If you look at the new versions, the hub/bearing area is a lot thicker to support bearings and a unique mechanism that when down force is applied or...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

When you get people at the top of their game, putting in more hardcore flights in a year than I will in five years there is bound to be issues. Nothing, Nobody, NOT anything is perfect. I remember doing research on the Savox 1270TG's and folks were saying the gears strip... ok... forgot to...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Yup, I cannot afford the sticker price of some of the high end name brands. Spectrum has been offering nice servos as well. The A5060 is comparable to my beloved Savox 1250. Blue bird has had a bad reputation for a while. But there are lot of success stories too. I've always wanted to try them...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Thanks for the info, I knew you had something up your sleeve. Part of me says stick with the Savox 1250's since the price will be the same. There was a point where blue birds where cheaper, but now they seem to be on par with Hitec and Savox when it comes to price that is. It's hard to find a...

Scale RCM 1/3 Scale Champ Build

The Scott 3200's are very popular here in Southeast AK. You can find rebuild kits for them from ABI (Alaska Bushwheels Inc) and are a direct replacement. http://www.scott-3200-tailwheel.com/ https://www.airframesalaska.com/ABI-3200S-Scott-Tailwheel-p/abi-3200s.htm People will modify their Scott...

I forgot to mention I was also looking at the Promodeler DS100DLHV 7.4v 90oz/in 0.13 $39. Just seems steep for a super otter and dare I say too fancy. But they are close to the specs of my trusty 1250's so after this short talk with myself, I may just go that route for kicks.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Worked on the Otter "cabane" on top of the wing. Overall fit has been a bit of a challenge, let alone trying to square the wing up. now that I got the two forward dowels epoxied in place, I need to shape and finish the wing roof. Then I'll drill the holes for the wing bolts. 1/4-20 nylon should...

    GP 76 twin gas engine

I still think the GP-76cc would be a match made in heaven for the Extreme Flight 94" MXS and retrospectively the GP-38cc perfect for the 76" MXS as they are both a little heaver, and that extra power would make them come to life a bit more from what I hear. Hard not to like that heavy metal...
