I replaced the boot on my DLE35RA. Basically cut the heat shrink, the shell is in two pieces with little metal tabs bent over to hold them together, there is a little crimped band under the heat shrink that is easy to manipulate off, then everything falls apart. I was surprised to see that the...

    Let’s Talk Fuel Lines!

The Sullivan S216 claims it it Fluoroelastomer, guess what Viton line is... Fluoroelastomer! It might be altered a bit, but I'm guessing it's Fluorelastomer died yellow with their chosen ID/OD.

    Scale 50% Dalotel 165

No Idea how to make tires! Never heard of a Pakistan MFI-17 Super Mushchack! What a neat plane! Side by Side trainer that is aerobatic apparently, kinda reminds me of a zenith 750 but with a bubble window. And it looks like there is a tailwheel too by the way... (tail skid wheel). At 46% you do...

Question? Which brand LiPo battery to buy?

Never heard of Revolectrix, did some digging, they seem legit! Might be worth a try based on the reviews I found and the price. http://www.store.revolectrix.com/Products/Blend420-SILVER-Label-70C-GOPACKS?range=21%2C40%2C43 Do you get them from their site or somewhere else?

Question? Which brand LiPo battery to buy?

I've had little experience with them, think I've only owned a couple and they were fine. The question boils down to application prior to brand selection. I love the nano-techs for my foamies - they have always been flawless and cheap for me. Pulse are my go to for a reputable brand that seems to...

So there is a screw that holds down the ignition lead and thus keeping the ignition box together. The other side however has a barbed clip that disintegrated which is why mine started to split apart. I wrapped some blender tape around it to keep it together. It shall suffice Sent from my...

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

Got a flight in on the 60” extra. Brrr it’s cold out today, 38-42F Re set the needles on the laser, the high end hasn’t left the factory setting much, low end needed to be leaned out a bunch. Idle doesn’t seem too smooth, could be because I found an engine mount bolt dancing inside the fuse...

Exactly!! Even glued and screwed together, Wood likes to warp, settle, and getting the right grain wood for the job was hard enough let alone ideal. That’s why I say just make a frame, put some thick plywood followed by some thick MDF board, and you could put a really nice trim hard wood along...

Borrowed a power plane. It helped true up the boards. Probably took a 1/4" off. Then I glued three boards together at a time, used a couple different hand planes to make it really strait, then finished it up with a orbital sander. It was a ton of work. I tell people to just get some MDF, ply...

Thanks Mike! Boy it took way too long! Over engineered by me, you can river dance on that bench if you wanted. It's 2x4's glues together, planed, supported by 4x4's and 2x6 trusses, screwed to the wall, covered in a silky combo of minwax special walnut and cherry, top is special walnut Danish...

Did some damage assessment on the slick... lots of cracks! Looked over it after strategically removing some covering, may have added some tears to my beer in the process. I think it's done. The problem is that there is no 74" edges available to replace it still!! It's so hard to get airframes...

I've used the stuff before on metal, it gave a wavy texture that was smooth and glossy. Glad it worked out!!

Looks better! Why does it seem like the finish bubbled up? It shouldn't have that much texture right? Seems like the only time that happens to me is either the nozzle was clogged up a bit, the can was cold, or not shaken up enough. As long as it created a protective finish so dirt doesn't get in...
