    GP 61 -Discussion thread

I ended up making some custom throttle and choke arms for mine. The stock ones will work, but I felt a little better about this setup.

I checked what I have and it doesn't fit the bill. Also, I rotated my carb 180 so that wouldn't do you much good anyway.

Terry the pattern is indeed the same as the DA50/60 I used a blazing star mount for a DA60 on mine and replaced a dA50 with the GP61. I took a bunch of pics of mine while installing it, I'll look to see if any of them are what you need.

Club 40 Racing? (Yes, I know they're not Giants)

The club 40 racing looks like a blast. Years ago at my old club we raced .10 powered planes. The rules were everyone ran the same stock O.S. .10FP with the stock muffler and club fuel. Any airframe and prop you wanted. I still have the scratch built plane I raced. I just converted it to...

The P-51 is pretty cool! I've been considering getting one of the 55' Edge EPP/Ply/Carbon hybrids from Skywing. I friend at the club just maidened his the other day. I'll give him some time to wring his out and see if he likes it. I have a Crack Pitts, but I've not flown it that much. If I'm...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

About the only low thing I do is a harrier. I feel pretty comfortable with the rudder 6' or more off the ground. Much lower than that the brain starts screaming, "Are you crazy!" I've also been known to do some fairly low wide open knife edge passes, but not low enough to really say it's all...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Having fun is what it's all about. There always seem to be a few that want to rain on someone's parade. I guess every club has them. Or the club know it all that everyone takes advice from and is looked upon like a god and you can never figure out why. Thankfully there are also the good guys...

Ryan has mad skills without a giant head. The only problem is I only get to see him fly a couple times a year.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I'm at our field one day watching the clubs best 3D guy Ryan Mowry doing low rolling harrier circles and one of the club know it alls starts telling me "well that's good and all, but you know those guys always roll the same direction". My reply was "well Glen if you notice he's changing the...

What I noticed about my V1's was I tightened them when I installed them, but a few weeks later I needed to go over them again because the center screw was tight, but it was loose on the splines. After that they've been good.
