50cc size planes, no ignition battery, straight through Opto Kill to SF board. 100cc, About the same setup. On my big planes though, I use an ignition battery straight through the Opto Kill to the SF.

    Pilot RC owners thread

Members joking and real grief can sometimes be one in the same. Most of all the more "advanced in years" (like how I skipped around that?) gentlemen at the fields I've flown at will sometimes give me grief about the cost of my props. Usually I hear, "wow, for the price of one of your props, I...

Zactley. And thank you for that vote of confidence. I'm in total agreement regarding certain subjects. I really try to avoid them like the plague. I mean, what works for you? Superb. It may not work for everyone. Setup is probably most key to the success or failure of the survival of any plane...

    Graupner Radios

You honestly won't regret the A9X. It is a darned nice radio. I love mine. As I mentioned before. Was strictly Futaba until the Hitec Module in my 8AUF. Then Hitec, to JR, back to Hitec, then to a second JR, back to Hitec, then to Graupner and back to stay with my A9X. I am sure there are those...

    Graupner Radios

I really don't know to be honest. All I am at liberty to say is that I learned of it by accident. I did talk to Hitec a couple of days ago. They are being "VERY" tight lipped about the release. Why? I do not know. But I can only imagine...(feeble as it may be) that since Hitec has a D.O.D...

    Sport The 182 gets "Gassed"

Plane. Just the plane. Only the plane! Lol. Been pretty tired after work this week. Not much done on the Cessna. Other than mount the ignition and Opto-kill. I did open up the firewall just a tad more to allow for free travel for the choke arm. I think all this modification is going to be a lot...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Nothing spectacular tonight. Work sucks. Just so ya'll know. It's interfering with my hobby. :spongebob: I did manage to work some on the Cessna though. So I guess it's better than nothing. :yesss:

First version. Not all that bad. My first one was the first version with the gear on the wings. Flew and ground handled the same as the fuse mounted gear. Just made it a little more transportable with the gear on the fuse. But!!!! It is so very way easy to make the modification from wing to the...

    Graupner Radios

I need to add, His PAU Edge flew absolutely perfectly and flawlessly for 70 some flights on the Hitec radio. Never ever a single question mark in our minds as to dependability of the radio system. He just wanted the same as I. More features. Once the Graupner was installed, numerous unexplained...

    Graupner Radios

No... we don't use matchboxes or any other component that is not necessary. Too many wink links in the chain. We program all our Hitec HV servos with the Hitec servo programmer before making any linkage connections. Then once that is done, final fine tuning done in the radio.

Cool...My son and I had four of these. Pretty nice flying plane for the times. My first one had an O.S. Gemini 160 twin in it. Flew great. Never should have sold it. Sounded cool as heck too. Last one, Yeah....Saito 180. Hee hee. Second version was definitely an improvement with the gear on the...
