The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Three flights and all I can say is I got two words for this plane. Which two I'm really not sure. They all describe it well. HUGE FOAMY. FREAKING AWESOME. TOO FUN. I will have more pics and a video on the restore thread. 5 months of work paid off. :brian-banana:

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Looks as though we'll get a little break between storms. It's time to end that long awaited maiden. It's maiden day for the 3w 210 powered Yak. Oh heck yeah, I'm going out flying!

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I wouldn't think of stopping you Mark. You need to get that plane back in the air. Hopefully your weather is better than ours. According to forcasts....we won't get a break until next Friday and Saturday.

    3D Restoring The Yak

I just guessed when designing them. You can make them any length. The measurement you see, is from the floor up. Not sure what the angle is. I had thought with an angle, it would clear most landing gear. So far, I haven't had any gear interfered with. You can probably make them any angle and any...

    3D Restoring The Yak

So a little history on these balance stands. I knew my son and I were getting far beyond the capabilities of conventional balancers available. I made a set of these for my son and I about three years or so ago. They work pretty great for everything we've put on them. 30cc clear up to this big...

    IMAC Dalton 260 Restoration

Hello Cam...well, United Package Smashers (UPS) must have hired new employees. Wing box arrived a little bit ago. Box looked great. However I really don't think I can use these wings. They're too...flexy. I don't do foamies. Lol Oh wait...what is this we have? Do I detect a Balsa samich...

    3D Restoring The Yak

I guess I really should balance this thing before I put her in the air huh? Given the CG is 1" behind w.t.c., (center of wing tube) I was hoping it would be at least somewhat close. No weight added. And other than moving flight packs forward to allow access to the rear wing bolts, nothing...

IMAC The new Dalton 300 SP / 330

Sanding is one of those things ya either love or ya hate. It does get tedious. I look at sanding in this way. I'm "forcefully grinding" beauty into a chunk of wood. Hee hee. I'd be lost without my "t" bar sanders.

    IMAC Dalton 260 Restoration

Ok so where were we? Ah yes... I remember. The nightmare Dalton. :nightmare:LOL..... When last we left off, I had just removed the belly stringers. A couple broken, the rest loose. Also ascertaining the can tunnel and front motor box area. Now with the big Yak done, it's time to get back on the...

    Fromeco Sahara Regulator Outputs

Keep in mind that max input voltage should not exceed 12 vdc. Also keep in mind batteries need to be wired parallel to keep the voltage the same. It could also be wired in series, providing the total amount of input voltage does not exceed the recommended 12 vdc. at full charge. Adjustable...
