https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utoi0ucyOZU Here is an old video I took of my funcub with ski's and a finger stick camera strapped to the side, poor quality, but you can see the field, glacier, and general area.

Once it's below freezing it's no longer fun to fly an internal combustion engine, I'll fly a Sunday type electric flyer to get my fix. :p

Vess 20A (or maybe it's a 19B??), I tried the 20B and it was too much prop. It's spinning about 7,300ish at WOT. I keep it a little rich with the dense air. I'd like for try a falcon 19X8, but so far this has been an okay setup for me, it transitions ok, not very snappy.

Those trees are like black holes, they claim many planes! There is a lot of wind changes at our field as well... Something about mountains and a glacier, but it consistently has a slight breeze from the glacier.

I got to fly this weekend, temps came up to freezing ha! It was cold, but fleece lined carrharts, down jacket, and a propane heater between flights make it possible. Snuck two flights in with the slick and a couple electric flights as well. No wind, or snow, and I must say a plowed runway is...

I too have my FCC license :) (GROL) but am not into Amateur Radio. An old friend of mine said that if you visited a club and brought a model airplane, members should always be happy to help and watch you fly your model. I love being "experienced" enough to be able to assist folks flying. . . "It...

This presents a good example of this FAA registration. So it's your "UAS", with potentially your number on it, operated by someone else... So would that mean the operator would have to have their number affixed to the aircraft ??? Interesting scenario

That sounds fun, would be tricky for me living in Alaska and all. But Portland is relatively close, have friends there too. It's expensive to ship a larger plane, especially with size restrictions for oversize baggage, ect. May just have to get a couple electrics that fit in a box... Hmmmmm

32F here, temps supposed to drop to 15F by Christmas, then a few inches of that white fluffy stuff. I'm sure a lot of you don't worry about temperature cutoffs for your internal combustion engines (or fingers!) - I wont fly my non-electrics 34F and under... too hard to start and by the time you...

Anybody playing with LiHV cells? Seems intriguing to a certain standard. I think I read somewhere that they are a LiCo Chemistry?? Lithium Colbalt Oxide?? dunno, but fun to see new stuff like this coming out on the market.
