    My wife says.....

My wife still wonders how I manage to find every plane I own for $500. She seems to think the big ones would cost more or something crazy. Lol

How many of you are running the new DA150L?

I have a 1-flight-old Falcon 30x13 (narrow) I'd sell if someone wants to try it. I'm not running pipes so I'm gonna stick with the 31x10.

    2-stroke oil,what works,what doesn't

Hahaha, at least you'll have a handy place to hang the windsock! :tongue-new:

    Spektrum rx advice

I don't disagree with that. Batteries these days are (in my mind) a lower risk failure point than a little printed circuit board with 100's of little solder joints. I have ran several planes the same way.

How many of you are running the new DA150L?

I just mounted a Falcon 31x10W today, and finally got to tune it decent. Picked up rpm to 5600. I leaned it out almost 3/4 turn on the high end, almost 1/2 turn on low end. If I went any leaner, it lost rpm and was slow to rev. I'm gonna fly it as is for a while, I'm sure it'll be PLENTY of...

    2-stroke oil,what works,what doesn't

Wouldn't it be harder to land it, or "bring it down?" :)

    Spektrum rx advice

Running the two batteries in parallel doesn't do much for redundancy, as the packs are not isolated from one another, and one pack going bad can take the other out with it. A Battshare module or Powersafe Rx will accomplish that.

    Oil debate

I run a blend of tiger semen and unicorn saliva at 4.5:1. The unicorn saliva is quite explosive, hence the almost-grease ratio.

How many of you are running the new DA150L?

Hopefully one of us can figure out what's going on and solve each others' problem! I should have my new prop in a couple days, so I'll be able to get tuned and hopefully pulling to 6k. I wouldn't think the brand of prop would be the cause, most of them are within a reasonable amount of weight of...

How many of you are running the new DA150L?

Yeah, mine would still pull vertical all the way to the moon with 32x12, it just wouldn't do so in the lively fashion I'm wanting it to. I haven't put it on a scale to check thrust, I'll do that once I bolt on the 31x10W and get it tuned, then report back.

How many of you are running the new DA150L?

I've found much the same on smaller props as well, I think it's because the wood props flatten out at high rpm and carbon props don't (or to near the degree wood does).

How many of you are running the new DA150L?

Flew the 104 the other day, 32x12 is not the ideal prop. Lol It only turned 4800 rpm on the ground, so I bought a 30x13, which bumped it to 5300. I've talked to a few who run the 31x10W and love it, so I think that's my next size to try, along with retuning slightly. I bought the engine from...

Fired my 150 up tonight, started on the 2nd flip and purred like a kitten. Those of you running the "fat" 150, what is your prop of choice for 3D? I'm currently running a wood Falcon 32x12, thinking about ordering a 31x12 or 10 to experiment with.

Not a 150L, but I'm stuffing a 150 into my 104 Slick. Just waiting for mufflers to show up from Chief Aircraft, cut the cowl for the downpipes, then it's maiden time. Should be nothing short of insane!
