    Just trying to show that any aircraft can fail, whether it's due to poor maintenance, bad setup, etc. Cardenflyer paints a poor picture for 3dhs' airframes, when it simply isn't the case in my experience.

    I agree EF makes some nice planes, but in my experience, the only plane I've seen come apart in mid air is an EF 104. :? I've been to a few events here and there and seen a bunch of 3dhs planes fly, never seen one come apart (in person).

    Nothing personal against your friend, but if I couldn't get a 1/16" hole drilled in a 1/4" steel rod, I wouldn't call myself a machinist. It's not like they use space grade alloys for axles. LOL

    You can also just drill the axle on each end and put a pin in it.

    I curse EC5s enough every time I have to remove one that I'll never use them. I just switched everything except my 2S and 3S packs to xt150s.
