I don't know how every is securing their gear cuffs, but I didn't want mine glued on, in case they need repaired or something. I used sticky back Velcro, like such; I tried to pull them off, but without getting too gritty with it, they aren't coming loose. Should be secure enough for flight...

That's strange, why supply gear cuffs if the bottom by the plate will have a huge gap in it? Guess I'll stick a patch over the area, or shape a balsa block to go in the void.

Quick question; should I have gotten a piece to cover the LG plate area? Or does EF not include that? I did get gear cuffs, which I thought was pretty cool for a 60" plane.

What tail precompensation does, is when you move the pitch in either a positive or negative direction, it automatically gives a rudder input to counter the yaw force that is created by the sudden pitch change.

Here's how it works on EF planes, as they have a 1-piece elevator: The manual says to do it this way, so it's what I did. Don't really like it, but once I have some time I'll put a patch over the seams and I'll barely notice it.

Started building the EF Extra this evening, just gotta install and set up the aileron servos and mount the esc, then it'll be ready for flyin. It seemed like sacrilege, taking a saw to a brand new plane to mount the h-stab and elevator. :o
