    A buddy of mine compared the Falcon 29x9 to the 29x9w and he prefers the wide version. This was on a Hangar 9 Extra 300 with a DLE 120. 29x9w is all I use on my birds! Accelerates both my PAU 300sp and 3DHS Edge from a hover almost like a foamy.

    Correct! Too bad my servo arms do not match up. I worked a while to get my control horns matched over the hinge centerline and distance from hinge to control horn ball link mounting holes. The Booma will compensate some but I still like to start off "square" so to speak.

    Thanks Justin, I bought two of them from you. My main concern is that you can not center the servos to match from the start. You have to hope that the servo output arms match each other out of the box. If not, you may have one servo setting at a 15 degree offset to the other at centerpoint...

    I have one on my 3DHS 106 Edge and it works ok. I don't have programmable servos, so I can't center my servos to get the exact geometry I like. But, I think if you did have programmable servos, it would be perfect with the Booma system.

    That is what I used. I have a zona fine toothed thin kerf saw and it worked well. Just the rest of my work failed! Lol

    I went out to maiden my 40% Carden 260, range check good, engine runs good, controls work good. Taxi out and take off. The plane lifts off and I roll right and it goes left..... My mind could not compensate fast enough! Out of that incident, I had 4 good servos and a fromeco wolverine switch...

    This was first time using pva. I sprayed three coats using my spray gun and I thought it was enough. You live and learn! Thanks for the tips! I'll get it right eventually.:attaboy:

    Let me know how it works, I am going to let it set overnight and try again tomorrow using the tape and pam method if it works for you. I don't mind painting, just did not want to if I didn't have too.

    Well, my first attempt did not go well! First, the epoxy resin stuck to the top half of the cowl despite the fact that I used PVA mold release. Second, the epoxy seeped under the blue painters tape onto the paint of the cowl. So now I am committed to repainting my new cowl and reattempting...

    I see you use West Systems Epoxy 105/205. Can this same epoxy be used for glassing a plane? will it sand easily? Thanks for the DIY instructions for splitting a cowl!!
