    PAU Owners Thread

I have used them on another plane with good results, so I decided to use them on this plane. I may add another thin rubber washer as I think the existing rubber washer is too thin and compresses to the point that the aluminum nut bottoms against the fuselage.

Not exactly...my right wing came loose while flying and it slid off slightly during a knife edge snap. It pirouetted down into the big ditch. The fuse needs some repair and will need a new prop and spinner. I will tear it apart today to check for other damage.

    Desert Aircraft vibes

I tend to generally agree with the timing/porting theory. Having turned wrenches professionally for 20 years, when you advance the timing on a four stoke, the engine will run less smooth. Retard the ignition timing and it would get smooth. This goes hand in hand with the size of the cam used...

Inconsistent color on monokote ruins my plane

At least they offered it to you! I have run into this before, so now, I buy 25' rolls. I store the leftovers inside the house in the A/C to prevent it from getting damaged from being exposed to heat cycles. Has worked for me for the past 25 years of building and covering!!
