Looking for sme advice from the brain trust Thinking about a next airplane. Leaning to the EF MXS 63 Can't go too big, has to fit in a medium sized suv. Electric suggestions, while others make ICE work, I have not I have solid precision and 3D skills, but view myself as a pilot who always...

Vacation day today 73 degrees, 5 mph wind. Flew for 3 hours, including a bit of help for someone stepping up to basic aerobatics from just flying the pattern Excellent day!

Yeah, I with you Hoping it continues to rain, just to minimize fire risk. Of course, this makes me seem grumpy to the fireworks aficionados ...

I did get away from work early, flew for 3 hours, helped a couple of newbies, had a very enjoyable day. Even flew an indoor foamy from my driveway just before dark when it was dead calm Let it rain, I'm good...

Just got back, pretty great day Flew my 40" addiction to test the replaced elevator hinges, all it well, just a bit windy for the light wing loading. Split my time between a 50" YAK and a 40" f3a plane. About 50/50 for precision versus 3d Had two VERY interested boys, guessing 6 and 8, with...

IMAC learning and support using flight videos

Just took a few hours to fly today. An insight - for me, there is a learning curve- precision requires more forward cg, low rates, and usually higher airspeed - all exactly opposite to what I do for 3 D

IMAC learning and support using flight videos

One more of my favorites, horizontal figure 8s , upright, inverted, and knife edge both canopy in and canopy out. Play with controlled transitions from one to the next at the "waist" of the 8. Keep it level and symmetrical. Sounds easy, but it is hard to do it really well, especially if wind...

Expo is usually reccomended in the manual. Somewhat a matter of personal preference. What works for me is 20-30% in lowest rates and 50-60% in highest rates.

IMAC learning and support using flight videos

A suggestion Think like a 10 year old Think - betcha I can do 3 consecutive loops that are exactly on top of each other. Got that, repeat with outside loops Got that? Try for consecutive super imposed reverse half Cuban 8 s Got that? Try inverted reverse Cuban 8s Then stall spin combos...

IMAC learning and support using flight videos

Daren - thanks for the vids, will absorb these slowly. I continue to work on my precision flying. Found a new flying field that is much more open ( no trees) and allows bigger airplanes. Probably don't yet have the ideal airframe for IMAC , but making progress with a Carbon Z Yak and a 1...

I might be seeing a pattern - tell me what you think. My repair efforts are seldom crash damage, but I seem to be going through worn out hinges on mutiple airframes. Perhaps I am beating them up? Foam hinges I understand, but some are balsa/carbon fiber construction. My lovely wife suggests...

NP need to justify, just surrender to the urge to acquire new flying toys. If you must rationalize, compare your costs to a golfer with a country club membership ;-)
