    Wow close call! Glad it didn't hit an artery. That would have been a really nasty site for both of them. Good luck with a speedy recovery. Unfortunate for your dad but a good reminder to us all that these are powerful and potentially lethal machines. Be careful out there everyone.

    Bummer Joe. I can definitely see how that can happen. I was out today between rain storms trying to "fly down" 15 packs I had charged up! I was all alone and it was windy and wet. Went something like this- bipe, MXS, bipe, MXS, EDF F18, bipe ... And so on. I managed to get 9 down to storage...

    Good call for any competition. Gyros are great aids for intro to 3D and even practice (like using the "physics" adjustment on simulators) for new maneuvers. However I don't feel there is any place for them in any competition involving skills.

However, my wife went civilian/ air guard and had a great 9 years at the unit before we started a family. She's flying...
