    Because it's ZooFebruary, that's why!

Nah. I usually don't throw my job out there too often. That was a fun one to show though:) It is a very fun and rewarding job. I still sometimes shake my head when they give me the keys for a few hours with a couple hundred rounds to shoot:)

Nice flight for maiden! I don't have the balls to bring a brand new plane that close to the ground except for landing. I thought it had been a pretty mild winter up there? Most of my family lives in Eastern ND, and I hear about not having barely any snow this year at all.

Sport 30% Edge 540 Pete Marshall Plans with Laser Cut Short Kit

Currently, I have no experience with Life, or Lion batteries. Everything I have are Lipos and don't mind needing to take out batteries. I know Lion are in phones and such but have no idea what the LiFe batteries are. Chris, that was a very noticeable difference for sure!!! I am running a HV...

Sport 30% Edge 540 Pete Marshall Plans with Laser Cut Short Kit

Thanks, David. Hopefully I can get back to work here shortly after some back problems and complications... With the down time, I have been thinking about setup and batteries. My plan is to run HV servos on a 8 channel Futaba receiver with a 2s Lipo and heavy duty switch. I would also run a...

Sport 30% Edge 540 Pete Marshall Plans with Laser Cut Short Kit

Chris, maybe today I will go through the plans to see how much I will need. I hope to go through the LHS since they have been very good and give a military discount. I am expecting about $150 ish.

Sport 30% Edge 540 Pete Marshall Plans with Laser Cut Short Kit

Sleepy, the plans say this plane should be between 15.5-17.5 lbs. Thanks for the reassurance that the 50 will be plenty for my needs:) As for Pete, I pretty much copied in a document for later anything I could find that he used for building techniques as I want this to go together very strong...

Sport 30% Edge 540 Pete Marshall Plans with Laser Cut Short Kit

I was doing a little research today for an engine. I was originally planning on putting a DA-70 in this bird, but it looks like it will stick out both sides of the cowl about 3/8 in on each side. I am no master of flying that needs the extreme power of the 70... How cheesy would it look with the...

49Dimes, I will keep that in mind. I will try these ceiling tiles out to see how they do. They were dirt cheap and looks like pins will hold well with them. If they don't work out, I will check out the gypsum. I do need to go through the plans and figure out how much square stock and sheeting...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I did stop by the field this morning for a quick peak to see who was there. There were 2 motorhomes that I am not used to seeing and about 15 guys flying or getting ready to! How much are you willing to pay for the tire slashing?? :) It won't stop me from flying when I get back on my feet!
