Hey Tom! What's the general flight direction. IE facing east, west, north, south. And the general prevailing winds. Thinking ahead!! :)

I think the reed cage mod is a lot easier and perhaps more bang for the buck. A lot easier to.

Maybe the 20 is a little different. On the dirt bikes I use to work on the pin was centered. The ring could go eitherway. A quick look at the dle55 ring and the pin is offset, so the ring can only go on one way. On the diesel engines I use to rebuild all the rings were free floating, no pins.

    3DHS 70" Velox

Bummer...but directions? the dle piston is pinned, ring only goes in one way. also a bevel on the top side to catch some compression. A ring expander is out there, but really to big for this small of a ring. two thumbs and just open enough to get it over, and try to keep it flat...

3DHS New Products and General Plane Info/Help for Fanatics

I had some EF an switch to GP. I think they were cheaper, fit better, I don't mind the cut out over the huge hole in the EF. And the LHS always stocked them. I bet some guys who go anal over the spinner gap never notice the see through pre cut spinner on the EF. 4 screws is ok but I...

Maybe somewhere in the middle...hehe The 72 pants are beat to heck. My last try to keep them on is GG between the gear and pant. I also have a tough time with the 3DHS wheels. A pant busted off the 74 and revealed a fairly new wheel is now missing the inner plastic rim. I seem to...

3DHS New Products and General Plane Info/Help for Fanatics

Roger...see Jim's idea, put them on for show times. They are just real lightweight and can't take a lot of punishment. I just leave mine on and get what I can out of them because they belong on the plane. I've got a spare set of 72 pants I need to put on. First ones lasted 1.5...

3DHS New Products and General Plane Info/Help for Fanatics

Try here...page 16. I thought I remember it being in greater detail. But basically position the axle nut(the one part of the axle) correctly, then slightly enlarge the U channell in the pant where the pant will slide over the axle/wheel into position. Then use the 2 screws with blue...

3DHS New Products and General Plane Info/Help for Fanatics

Scott's tip in the 87 manual is great for quick take-offs if you end up at a rough field(50cc and up). To date I've only flown the 87 at 3 different fields, 2 were concrete\asphault and the other was a nice cut low grass field. But if you need to take them off it makes the process about...

I think last year there were a couple planes that might had exceeded it, at least on a WOT pass. And I think we were asked to settle down a bit because of a weeding going on nearby. But I think it all ended good. Prop ripping done at it's best in Missouri.
