    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

They're brushless servos. We designed them with a NEU brushless motor inside that's way super powerful, so powerful that if we removed the governor they could make upwards of 800oz of torque! We limited the power output of them so that the case and gears wouldn't break, which also in turn makes...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

It's a Multiplex Fun Cub, and I got it from work. You can get them anywhere that sells Hitec products and they come in either a Kit version or a Receiver Ready version- I picked the RR version since I didn't want to build another airplane (minor assembly required).

I picked up a new toy today... Maybe not GS, but definitely GS fun :epic::mario-banana:

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

It wasn't designed for that in mind, it was mainly for electrics. We don't worry about it, we've got guys hucking the absolute skiznibs out of their GS airplanes without issue. Using the proper connectors is important here, but to each his own. Maybe time to go with our HSB servos, which...

Aerobeez 70″ Slick PRO Step By Step Build Guide

Motor and ESC mounted in plane... Hopefully we got the standoff lengths correct, looks about right with the cowl on. No way to tell for sure until I get a spinner and the prop on there. Speaking of spinners, what size did you guys wind up using? Aerobeez, if I might make a suggestion for...

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

You can run 2 receivers with the 9 or 9X if you want, they just can't be Optima receivers as the telemetry information coming from 2 receivers will cause interference. I don't recommend Minima receivers on big airplanes though. The Optima receivers can handle up to 35 volts through the SPC...

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

Keep in mind the EQ-10 does not actually program the servos, it merely alters the signal going to the servo based on the parameters you set. Hitec's HPP-21, HPP-21 PLUS, and HFP-25 programmers actually alter the programming inside of your Hitec servos. Not sure why they're so difficult to use...

Keep in mind this is an electric airplanes and there are no vibrations to ruin CA hinges ;) I got my motor in the mail today!!! Waiting on my BEC which will be here tomorrow, and hopefully my propeller gets here soon... Looks like something got messed up with my order and the prop never got...

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

If your servos don't center properly, then that is an issue with the servo. Bottlenecking is not an issue, like I said we have guys running the setup I described without issue, even up into the 40% class. We have guys running a y-harness inside each wing as well. Spencer Nordquist has 2 servos...

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

Make sure you have the latest firmware in your Optima 9 before you run the optical kill. If all is good, then run the optical kill and plug in a pair of y-harnesses into the receiver to give you some space to run your 2 receiver batteries into. We have pilots doing that with zero issues...

    Night Flying

You're going to need more than that most likely ;) I recently did up a buddies Carbon Cub for him to fly at Joe Nall. I ran 1 strip across the top of each wing panel, 1 strip across the bottom on both sides, 1 strip down the length of the fuselage on each side, and 1 strip ontop and on bottom...

Have you guys ran into any issues with the 5645MG and Santi putting the airplane through its paces? Reason I ask is there are some brass gears inside that might not tolerate someone who is aggressive (as in not smooth) on the sticks. I have. A couple of buddies are looking at it, it's a slick...

    7954 Issues

Not really. That's why they have the heat sinks, they dissipate heat through the heat sink. There's any number of countless variables that could make a servo want to fail so to say exactly what your cause is isn't entirely certain. A 35% airplane with long 3D arms and big control throws on the...

It was cloudy and cool here today, probably low 60's as the high. Bit wet in the morning with some light winds. Finally flew for the first time in over a month since my Yak crash!! Just the foamy to futz with. Too bad I stripped my elevator servo in flight, and only inches off the deck so I...
