The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Side job day. My younger brother works for a company that inspects and services water towers. They needed some electrical work done installing a mixer and circulating pump in this tank. So we get to run 1” rigid conduit up the side of the tank leg today. Brought my UMX timber hoping to fly at...

    IMAC Scratch build Laser 200

yeah I spoke with the people at Aloft Hobbies. The radios they have in stock are from before the firmware upgrade with ACCST on it. They offered to update it for me though at no charge so I took them up on it.

@Forgues-Research I think I will pull the trigger on a X9 Lite today. Been doing a lot of research and liking what I see. Some mods will be made to the radio to better suit me but overall I think I will really like it. FrSky recently released a firmware update that allows it to bind to any old...

Just the way some of them are. Buddy of mine has a DX8 that the backlight has stopped working on. Horizon says they will fix it if he sends it back to them but are not allowed to sell him the part to fix it himself. For what ever reason the backlit LCD is only able to be sold in Europe.

I’m going out flying thread 2019

No flying today but before the rain came we took our nephew out for putt putt, laser tag, arcade games, and go carts at our local sports park. He had never been on a go cart before and did great having a great time. Though I don’t think he was appreciative of me giving him the ole bump and run...

Table I designed and had our fab shop at work build for me. Designed for when building new electrical control panels. Idea behind it is to save my back. It adjust in both height and angle. Basically when starting to build a panel I have it laying flat while I’m mounting all the different...

Thanks. I just finished doing some reading on a RCG thread and found the answers before checking back here. Looks as though the gimbals in it are the same as in a stock X7 so the hall effect gimbals for it should fit. Also seems there are no spare plugs but there are pads there for extra inputs...

Yeah my family was all redskins so I really had no choice either. Neither team has ever truly been good since they where bought by their current owners though.

Couple more questions for you on the Tarnis X9 Lite. I'm seriously considering it but I have concerns. First I love the feel of the M9 Hall Effect Gimbals I installed on my standard X9D, do you know if a hall effect gimbal will be an option on the Lite version? Also have you opened the radio up...

Last of the brush is piled up as well as the last load of firewood loaded in truck to take to a coworker tomorrow. Then managed to get all the logs over to one spot and up onto smaller cut offs so as not to sit directly on the ground. Hopefully I can get it processed in a couple weeks.

Lol. We have a good bit of oak in our area as well but not much hickory. I’m looking forward to using the cherry though. Reckon it needs to dry for about a year though.
