Installed the engine and got the throttle to work with straight carbon shaft. Spent a couple of days fooling around trying to make the choke work on the OS 22 after several attempts it become evident that it would be better to use a servo for the chock. After weighing all parts required to make the manual choke work and just a simple rod back to the servo the extra weight for the servo solution was only 0.9 oz.

Thanks @cokley for the reply and the nice comment. It is my first time and some what intimidating. Yes I like the plane up to now, but you never really know until you fly it and sometimes it only takes the first minute and you know if it's a keeper.

Starting to do the cowl for the motor this is one of the jobs I never look forward to doing. I dont know about you guys but it takes me a long time and would not like to tell how many times the cowl is put on and taken off until it is done. I would be embarrassed if I told you it is such a time consuming process. Will be working on it today. Hopefully it will be done buy late to night.

Well the cowl is done this one is just a little more difficult because of the three air inlets but that is what makes the cowl so good looking. Closed the two top holes with a very fine black mesh so that we can the maximum amount of air into bottom one. The cowl was well made and light. The paint job was smooth and the colour match is good.

While I had the fuselage on the bench I was looking at the venting for the engine and did like what I saw and did not want to cut into the cowl. So decided to open up the bottom of the fuselage. What I do not like is just a bunch of holes cut in the bottom just looks bad. So I made a reverse NASA air scoop into the bottom of the fuse to pull the air out took a little bit of work but Came out ok.

Well gentleman almost done installed all the electrics. Did a balance and moved the batterys into canister tunnel all the way back towards the tail. At that point the plane balanced. Tied the batteries down with some sponge and tie wraps. Glad did not have to add any weight. Two 1300 mah battery packs. Extras installed one choke servo, I-gyro, voltage regulator and an air vent. The plane all together weighed 8 lbs 8 oz. The manual states that it should weigh 7 1/2 lbs. well the differ ace between the choke mechanism and the servo was less than one oz. The i gyro weight is less than one oz and the air vent 3 grams and the voltage regular also less than 1 oz. At most that I added to the plane is 3 oz that still leaves me a long way from 7 1/2 lbs. Not able to change anything to get me down to that weight.
