I'll have to download it and see how complex his designs are. I just recently started following him on FB, man he has a lot to share!

edit: just did. His design is 3D so it's more of a static design 360 degree. But may still work.

Very Cool! I think this is 1/6.3 scale, so may not work. I have a Grumman Goose kit to build and may just try this STL Dag has out.

Found a few good photos of the R-985 on the web, so a printed graphic could be an option. The last one is from SketchUp, so you could rotate the 3D model into the perfect head-on position.

Great question. Unfortunately I’ve only printed on photo paper for electrics, but I’ll do a bit of research on this one.

I’m more worried about water damage. I wonder if it can be printed on plastic sign material. Aluminum prints may also be an idea. I think they are clear coated. I like the plastic idea though

May have found a cowl solution through Park Flyer Plastics based out of Texas. Need to measure the cowl, but they offer many sizes of 7-9cly dummy 0.020"-0.030" PTEG radials from 2" to 9.25"

Saw on FB someone used a resin 1/6 scale (7.25”) dummy resin radial from Frank Tiano Enterprises. But they had to cut the valve covers to make it fit right.
