Again the 35 is like 2 ounces more than the 30. It uses the same props in my experience, just it turns them at higher RPM....
The difference is 5.92 ounces according their website. If the difference were 2 ounces I would buy it for sure. I've heard this twice now.
Adding up the weight of the components from Tower I get a difference of 69 grams which is 2.43 ounces. I also don't believe that the DLE-30 ignition module is significantly lighter than the DLE-35 module. A test is better than a thousand opinions.
I totally agree. A test IS better than a thousand opinions.
I did add up the weights from Tower when I started this. Then I went to the DLE website. I tend to believe the original source before I believe a vendor. On the DLE website, they don't give a component weight breakdown like on the DLE30. They just state, 2.77 pounds total weight... So does that include the standoffs? I don't see the weight of any standoffs in the DLE30 breakdown. Maybe that is the difference.
I'm going to give DLE a call today along with calling my LHS.
So it's basically a 4 oz difference?
