Thanks Enterprise with the feedback. From what I've been reading the DLE55, GP61, DA60 and DA70 seem to be a better choice for this airframe.

RC_Feen, don't forget about the new DLE61 from ValleyViewRC. It seems to be pretty nice, SupaTim has one in his 92" I believe.

Obviously, I'm VERY happy with my GP61 in my 92. It's got obscene power on a 24x10 prop.

6 flights on the Edge with the new dle61. I'm extremely impressed. Not to blow smoke up anyone's behind, but the power matches the da60 right out of the box. The dle 61 and da60 would be perfect for this airframe. I've flown the Da70 on a EF 91" Extra and it's stupid crazy power. I know for a fact that the Extra is about 2 LBS heavier than the 92 Edge. So to put a DA70 in the 92 would not be my choice. If your gonna spend that kind of money, In my opinion I would just get 100cc plane. But back to my rave over the dle61. Granted only 6 flights in, but just a tweak of the low end needle. The motor runs flawless from the start. It idles much smoother, and less quite than the da60. It's even smoother than the da70. Yep!

That is awesome news! With the price of the DLE61, and VVRC's awesome support/service, it's a win-win.

Dwight, would you consider adding some installation photos (if you have any) and any other info (prop, needle settings, etc) to the DLE-61 thread here: http://www.3drcforums.com/showthread.php?2021-Hot-off-the-truck!-DLE-61-s-are-here!!!

I ordered a planebender smooth pipe for my DA-60 that is going into this plane. I am going to give that combo a try.

I am leaning towards getting a DA-70 for my 89 slick. I already have the airframe and servos, but I do see the point that for almost $900 you can get yourself on the way to a 100cc airframe with a DLE-120, GP-123, or EME-120 and put the difference into an airframe. Main cost difference would be the servos. No doubt the 100cc airframes have excellent flying qualities.

Sunday I had the choke servo break loose from the deck and pull the choke closed. The deck seamed to disintegrate. Most of it was still on the servo box.
I came up with a simple method to add manual linkage to the GP-61 choke horn to open and close the choke. All I did was drill a hole in deck just in front of tank and use shoe glue to lock the Sulivan flexible outer sleeve. IMG_4375.jpgIMG_4376.jpgIMG_4377.jpg

Haven't posted much on here, but I got out with some of my flying buds yesterday after a long dose of cold weather cabin fever. Anyways, thought you guys might like to see some 3dhs edge action from The Great White North (Canada).
