I've heard as long as the battery leads, this includes leads on the ESC and the actual battery, should be no longer than 12''. So you can probably extend them a little but usually it's not a good idea. If you must extend the battery leads adding a CC Cap pack will help with the voltage ripple that occurs from making the leads longer.

Maybe Gary can chime in nd confirm but I'm almost sure he had this discussion with the ZTW esc folks who confirmed 12".

I also think based on that you see fine with the jumper for telemetry. If you find out otherwise please let me know asap as it was my plan for the two tm1000 I picked up at wram.

12" from battery terminals solder joints to ESC board solder joints for the ZTW ESC is correct, and that is from ZTW.
So, make sure you account for the length of the battery leads!

i actually tried that with no success on EC3's

Then keep trying :p or, if using a ZTW, I usually add a 2" extension the the stock ESC leads, and put my telemetry or BEC pro leads at that solder joint.

actually i just soldered up the leads for my MXS with ec5's and got that to work that way

hey since were on the subject of telemetry and esc's whats the normal and maximum temperature range for an esc?
