Every post I see on this build just blows my mind. You take modelling to an entirely new level...and I Love it all!
 
one side of the main spar root done, this part is of upmost important to get right, from a few perspective, one, the whole weight of the airplane in the air on its retractable wheels, and two, it has to be of a precise angle. I don't have to tell you , this is where you measure a dozen times and then cut, drill, or glue, there is no turning back. But now that one side is done, the other side should be a bit easier, (I hope)

Since the plans show only one side, and I need both sides to get things just right, I used an old trick, which you can see with the photos, by applying oil on the part you need reversed, the image shows through the other side , here I simply used oil I use for my lathe, but one could use vegetable oil also..

both sides are nearly done, you can see the 3 degrees built in rearward, the reason for this is for the spar to clear the retracted wheel.

Now need to drill the 24 holes for the 3mm bolts

You are going to have to build another complete spar. one for the airplane and one to hang on the wall as art.
