Parts laid out, hinges all removed. Getting ready to take a hot iron to the covering to assure its all sealed and take out any minor wrinkles. Then on to gluing hinges in place. More photos will be coming.

I like to cut out the horn installation areas as I go. I figure I am finding them as I seal down the covering, so why go looking for them again. This way I can seal down the area after cutting the reliefs as well.

Ok, a lil method I have for preparing hinges is to use vaseline in a metal lid, heated on my iron. Dip the hinge on both sides, and then dob off on a paper towel after flexing. This keeps the epoxy out of the hinge as well as lubricates the hinge. This also allows me to fully inspect each hinge.

Bare with me gang, still trying to figure out how the forum is ordering my photos.. seems to put them in backwards order, from how I am speaking about steps.

waiting for epoxy to dry, and in the meant time, working out some numbers to see what I have for standoffs that will work for my engine.

Ok, so all control surface hinges are now glued. Jumping to landing gear to get it up on its "feet" then will move on to servos.

I decided to coat the open wood with some 5 minute epoxy as well as a perimeter of the engine box as the slots for the firewall are cut a little big, so will fill the void with the excess I had left over. I will eventually paint the engine box.

Wheel pants installed. Had an issue on both of them, the opening for the wheel was too far forward, causing the rear to bind on the tire. So off to the drill press with a small drum sander, and voila its all fixed.
