Thanks! That motrofly is especially good to know, every one of them I've seen has been awesome. How well are those Savox's holding up? Worries me that they only have half the torque of the 7955TG's, but if they can take it, it's something to look into.

Thanks! Are there any problems with getting a neutral cg with the 6s 5000?

I don't know yet, I haven't received my batteries yet.
I hope not.

I'm using 6s5000, and have them slightly forward of neutral, and about 1.5" ahead of wing tube, so I think you'd have plenty of room to achieve neutral.

As for servos, the torque of the 7955 is way overkill on this plane. Ideal is 170+ oz/in. The advantage of the 7955 is that they can easily
"Move with you" up into a 50cc plane later.

The Savox I'm running are awesome.
Very fast, very precise, very durable.

Either one, Savox or Hitec, and you'll be happy!
Cool, thanks on both counts! A few guys at the field are calling me "killer" because of all the servos I've gone through, but on a plane this size I definitely can't have that happen, both for safety and I can't exactly afford to lose a plane. I think Wamsy is running the 7955's on his 72 at my field, and so the more I think about it the better they sound :)

Hacker A60-5S, Xoar 21X10 prop (though I use a Xoar carbon gas prop), 2X 4S 45C 3850 packs ( I use Thunder Power) Castle Ice 100, BEC Pro, and Hitech HS-7955TG servos.... Outstanding!!!

So right now I'm looking at:

Motrofly 4330
Castle Pheonix edge lite 130
Hitec 7955tg
Castle Creations BEC pro 20

I guess that's it electronically. Thanks guys!

Hey Steve! I am wondering what your Castle Setting are with the A60-5s. I have mine running with this exact setup (only with a gas wood prop), but there seems to be some lag between my throttle stick and the motor output (compared to my Motrolfly and ZTW setup on the 71" Slick). I know that there are more poles in this motor, but don't know exactly what changes need to be in place in the ESC. I believe that I am set to auto or fact. presets on everything within the ESC.

Just ran finished breaking in a battery for my edge.

It's spinning a xoar 20x10E at 7000 rpm, which translates to 25.2lbs of thrust, and 2750 watts.

:D
I'm loving the hacker a60-6xs so far!

Got the first 6 flights on my edge and I am truly amazed! This is one of the best flying planes I have owned. It is precise, yet floaty. It does some really cool tumbling maneuvers(3 spins on a crankshaft).

And the power on the A60-6xs is just silly.

Only disapointment is that on a 6s 5000 pack, i am only getting a 3:50 flight.

Video soon...

74" edge RIP...

Immediately after take off i did a half roll followed by a negative wall and then...

My motor box broke in half. This caused the esc and bec to separate from the battery.

The plane hit nose first on the concrete runway...

:crying:

Pics...

One of the wings has some pretty bad dents and cracks, the fuse is buckled behind the canopy, and the cowl is destroyed.
