I will answer for ryan_m as he PM'ed me the same question. I got mine from the fine folks at Aztech Aeromodels.

I just did some testing and with the spline foreward, it is not possible to get a cam over with the 1.75 or 2" position as the horn hits. I did notice that at the 2" position the turnbuckles were down to only a few threads, so I went to the 1.75" position.

Down to only a few threads? Sorry for my ignorance but I can't visualize that.

In order to get the linkage out to the 2" position I had to turn the ball links out. I put the spare push rods up to them and noticed I only had 3 or 4 turns in on each side. I am going to pick up some 2.5 or 3" H9 turnbuckles probably tomorrow as I have to go down to Nashua with the Mrs. anyways.

I did put it up on the throw meter and I am getting 45 degrees at 1.75" and 55ish at 2".

Now I get it. Wasn't thinking ball joint thread. You think you need more than 55? I should put a meter on mine. I don't think it's that much.

Have to weigh mine. Note, tried light foam tires. Not a good idea. Barely handled it dry but with 16oz of gas it put them over the edge- literally. A friend had some DuBro 2 3/4" rubber. A little heavier but I'm not hurting for power! Put Graphtech gear on too.

I ended up getting 3" turnbuckles to get the throw I wanted with 2" position. I have a bin with a bunch of different 3" wheels if you need some. I also have a spare set of 4" Kavan inflatable balloon tires, but those will look funny for sure.

how much do those kavan tires weigh? I could potentially use them on my bigfoot to replace the bricks, I mean the dubros that I have on there right now.
they're not quite as big, but if the price is right it would save me some $$ over buying new ones from Sig, which I think are out of stock anyway.

PM me if you'd like
